For the 1s lipo pack, what receiver pack are people using for 1/12? and where are you getting them? online or making them yourself?

Thanks in advance.

To be honest most of us are just spending a little more and getting a booster. It makes for less hastle just drop it in and forget it's even there.

If you want a receiver pack I would get the oldschool 1/3 aaa cells. They last longer (more cycles) than the little LiPo's for me. Try some of the oval places if you want a pack (lefthander RC for instance).

Most of what you brought up are the one's out there. You also have push power too http://www.darkhorseracer.com/index.aspx. You have to see what tracks are running what. Most track only allow SMC.

As for boosters I run Novak. I have a TQ but haven't run it yet.

lipo saddle pack

LOL...we had to rework some of our design, very minor changes, but it has caused some delays. The straight pack will be available in 2 weeks. The lipo saddle pack is late September, but it will be well worth it for those running a t-bar car. With both packs, I wanted to release something that will not be obsolete within months.

As far as connectors, they will be 4mm. The packs will have a flat bottom and I do plan on including battery guides or battery rails.

Any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Looking forward to get this
lipo saddle pack :D

Do you whant to take pre. orders

Alf :-)

I just ordered one of these to try:

We have had great luck with Protek packs in 1/8th e-offroad.

My favorite pack so far has been my SMC 4900 50C. The Thunderpower 5000 40C is pretty nice too.

whats the standard charging procedure with these packs. Should i be discharging them after everytime i run like the nimh cells, or do i just charge them?

Just charge them. No need to discharge them.

ZEe_NYC 09-27-2009 08:37 AM

just charge them. lipos are amazing. they can sit on a shelf full charged, half charged, whatever. you can charge on top of a half charged battery after it's been sitting. you can charge more than once a day. you don't have to 'cycle' anymore. no more 'taking care of' your cells.

you should read up on them.

The charger needs setting on 1s lipo mode, 2s will kill it, and most lipo cells at 1c, basically if it's 5000mah then charge at max 5a, 4000mah max 4a ect, can't go wrong really!

radio_car_racer 10-20-2009 06:52 AM

anyone tested the 1s batteries for C discharge ratings?
