Yes it is the same direct coupling part for all versions of TA-05.

It's the Tamiya blocks. I think the 3Racing pivot balls only works with 3Racing hinge blocks... *BOH*

I'm going to attempt to grind it down. I'm just a bit lazy to go to my hobby shop to pick up the pivot balls...

Yes im a drifter from Brunei and so far there are 3 V2 drifting on our streets. My V2 has seen changes such as front universals, steering sets, rockerarm set with bearings, aluminium direct coupling F&R, 64 pitch pinion and spurs, Tamiya's spring (medium F&R), Stabiliser bars, suspension mounts (F&R), side brace,etc. Its a reliable machine for drifts and serves very well.
I can definitely see the V2 being a very capable drifter. The COG on these things are pretty well centered... You guys ever use the little Tamiya Cross Wrench and balance your chassis on the table with it? You'll find that it's very close to the spur gear...

any comment with my BL nosram ESC ISTC @5.5t motor

For the Carbon damper stay (Rear), Which one did you guys use from the Tamiya's part? The regular TA-05's or The ones from IFS?

Hi guys, earlier on this thread it was advised to use the alum diff outdrives rather than the 53849 high percision units. What's the difference between these options? What are the high percision bits made of?
Those nasty kit plastic diff halves have got to go!
I took my ver.2 out to TRC in Yuen Long, Hong Kong, yesterday wiht all stock settings, TRF dampers, and a 10.5 motor. Great car to drive, very neutral and consistent.

The high precision diff outdrives are Delrin and have aluminum reinforcing rings at the end s to prevent them from expanding on power. They are loghter than the aluminum outdrives, however the diff does feel smoother when built with the aluminum ouitdrives. The high precision parts could overheat and melt if you're running mod.

I've wanted to try it before but can't get the centre so I gave up.
Do any of you guys put any weight on the battery side?

The difference of my battery and electronics is 100 grams. I've added a bit of weight ~50g to make it balance.

Do you think it is neccessary?

Thanks for the info. Too bad Streetrevorc doesnt have an online store where we can view what parts they have. My family is having a holiday in singapore and i was hoping i can get them to bring me some stuffs for my Ver2
