Do you use same screws and nuts?
Does your carbon fiber chassis unbreakable?
Much lighter than graphite chassis?

The carbon fiber chassis is unbreakable in regular racing conditions...however if you hit it with a sledgehammer it would probably break . The IRS chassis w/ all the aluminum standoffs weighs about the same as the graphite chassis.

Anybody noticed front steering block is tight fit for A arms.
Do I need to dremel out so they can move freely?
I have a feeling that thing contributed less traction in front of the car.

rcruv,
if you take your exacto, you can scrape a little off of the inside of the front arm (where the c block pivots), that should loosen it up, or you can just drive it until the parts begin to seat. i had this same dilemma, and it seemed to make my car feel like it was tweaked.

Noticed the same thing but used 400 grit wet/dry sand paper on the arms

FT or Team stuff truly necessary?
HPI seems to have abandoned the Pro3 so now I gotta ask myself, "What do I do?" It seems to me that all one truly needs is the racer kit with threaded shock bodies and lightened diffs. The rest seems to be eye candy.
Any thoughts or am I way out in left field looking for the hocky goal?

The Doc graces us with his presence.....
If you can swing it, the FT version really is the best deal for the money. Is everything it comes with neccessary? No. You do get the threaded shocks $65, the lightened diffs $50??. So considering that, you basically pay for the two items you mentioned and get all the "Eye Candy" to boot.
I have owned 3 FTTC3's and love every one of them.
I bailed on Associated for the Pro 3 and within' a week I was buying a new FTTC3.

"The DrDiff" ? ........ Made the change myself a short while ago. Started with the Racer and have added only the bare necessities, threaded shock bodies.
I have found the car more consistent and predictable than that other brand.
Welcome to rctech.net Doc.
