Anthony, thanks for the tips. I'll mess around with the swaybars this weekend. I just switched to all ball diffs. I can't wait to try that out. Do you drift at Arai?

actually i dont go to tracks i just mess around with my friends and niebors by the near by vacant parking lot because the surface is nice and smooth :smile: :smile: :smile:

Anyway, try out the website http://www.driftrcentral.com Alot of peeps from all over the world hang out there and discuss drifting, share paintjobs, tips, etc... They even hold rc drift competitions at Irwindale Speedway. GroovyDrift had a competition there last month. Those guys do some sick drifting... Anyway, Arai is the name of a garage they hang out at on weekends and hold drift meets. They do some sick tandem drifting. Have you seen their videos before?

Here's my drift setup:

3 degree toe in rear, no toe in front
0 camber all around
shocks placed in suggested holes in shock towers
silver springs in front, green in rear
droop screws are pulled all the way up

I've got the NTC3 Steering rack and my battery is pulled to the center. I've been able to get some real long drifts but when it comes to complicated drifts like going through S-turns, I can't do 'em. I tend to over drift or the car spins out. I finally put ball diffs in both front and rear so I'll test it out this weekend. Thanks again for any tips...

try to get 0 or 1 degrees in the rear toe that might help some and put just barly negative camber in the rear so you wont slide out as easily and so u can mantain your angel also put a small spacer in you ntc3 steering rack to reduce some ankerman. All that sould help you alot on the s-turn and everything else and one more thing what kind of diff did u run before the ball diffs?

BUT the thing is the way they turn, they under steer and dont counter steer all the way thruogh the turn and that makes it not really drifting

When I first got my used TC3, the spool was in the front and the ball diff was in the back. What a disaster. I then moved the spool in back and had ball diffs in front. Then I put a one-way in the front spool in back. I moved back to ball diff in front and spool in back. Now I'm gonna try ball diffs in front and back. Too many changes. That's why the diff case is getting stripped.

Anyway, which drift video did you watch? The Yokomo one? The SG Drift videos are the best edited but GroovyDrift's Arai drift sessions have some sick drifting. The video from the GroovyDrift Battle has some sick tandem drifting. PM me your AIM SN and I'll let you download those videos from my folder. Alot of these videos aren't being hosted anywhere anymore... There's a bunch of other drift videos out there that people just throw together for fun but they're not as good.

Just got a used tc3 on a trade yesterday. Little different than the other cars that I own. Something Im not sure about. The rear hubs have about 1/8" forward/rearward play(slop). Should there be shims or spaces on the pins that the hubs ride on to keep them from slopping around in the arms? Also, is there a fix to keep the pins in the arms/hubs from backing out?

there should be plastic spacers in the rear hub because the tc3 has adjustable wheel base

There are 2 small plastic shims that fit onto the lower pin. To secure the pin, there is a small setscrew on the upright (hub). If the setscrew is not in place (or tight enough), the pin will move and eventually rub on the wheel.

Like I said before, Im new to touring cars so this may be a dumb question. Why is it that when I turn one way the car turns fine, but when I turn the other way the car spins out? It looks like everything is set up the same on both sides.
