OK. That was the car with the normal steering.

Next pic is a front area view of the steering of the other car, followed by a pic of the car as raced in the last round of the championship.

Body is high downforce Yokomo Stratus. Very light.

What/where did you get the TC3 Bellcranks from?

How does it affect steering (ackerman & responsiveness?)

J-P 07-06-2004 11:20 PM

hey guys,

wondering if you can help me??

has anyone used tamiya trf shocks on their TC3, apparently some of the guys were running them at the euro's, if you have or do , how are they and is any modification required in fitting them??

many thanks

J-P:sneaky:

BLACK CAT.

The steering bell cranks (levers) are from the Nitro TC3. Just use those 2 levers from the steering kit and nothing else.

J - P.

Instead of dishing out on a complete set of shocks, just buy a set of the new Yokomo SD shock caps with the bladder.

The advantage of the Tamiya shocks over the stock TC3 item is only the bladder cap. The Yokomo SD ones are a straight fit. That's what we have on our championship winning car. It makes the shock action much more linear.

Rewgards

Joe from sunny Malta.

When using the Yokomo bladder caps do you remove the volume compensating foam?

NO. Use them just as they come, foam and all.

Good luck.

That's what you think!

The TC3 finally leaked in 1998 - at the Worlds to be precise. It had been designed at least a couple of years before that, and it actually went to the shops two years after.

I'm sure Associated have something up their sleeve for the Worlds. They had better have, if they want to win.

Maybe not a totally new car but I'm sure there will be some interesting bits.

:sneaky: That ought to be interesting

BTW: How do those NTC3 levers effect handling?

SPZA 07-07-2004 02:59 PM

i think that AE is due for a newer verson of the TC3. they have updated every model in there line in the past 2 year(with the exception of the GT, which is also doue for a facelift)b3-b4, t3-t4, god knows how many oval and pan cars, and a whole new monster truck. i think that the next thing will be a new GT/nitro stadium truck, and then a TC4, or what ever you want to call it.

BMI

Just a question about the BMI TC3 chassis. Im just wondering what you guys thougth about it, construction, handling, weight. Just general thoughts. Also do you guys know maybe a site that has instructions for the NTC3 steering conversion.

Thanks much

Free drivetrain?

I just cleaned and re-lubed my bearings..and the drivetrain went from hardly spinning to spinning for about 2 seconds..which is much more than before..is that free enough..or should it be a little more free..also..it started as the RTR version..but has had most things upgraded..but have not yet replaced the bearings..are the bearings in the RTR good..or should I upgrade them?
