there might not be room if there's a big esc. there's a lot of space on the chassis, but a big esc a big reciever and a big servo might be a bit too big. the reciever could go on it's side or on the servo and than there's enough room for a whole bunch of stuff...

i run the JR digital (8450 i think) but mount it further back on the chassis. put the servo mounts on the servo backward from the instructions (servo mounts at the frount of the servo) then but the ball end on the servo horn backwards (ball facing forward) this leaves room for a XXL stood on it's side behind the servo and a Cyclone in front of the motor, use the space beside the motor for your caps! the servo moved back helps many clearance issues and makes adjusting the steering turnbuckles much easier, depending on which servo you use you may need to file on the servo mounts a bit.

I have been using the Novak GT7 in my car with no space problems. I use an Airtronics reciver, but the XXL from Novak is smaller. I also have the capiciter sitting right beside the GT7 with no problems, so I see no reason why there will be a problem with fitting the GT7 in the car. Yes, a larger speed control will provide less room for the other electronics, but DaveW was comenting about the GT7.(from my understanding)

Try ae's website, there are usually good starting setups for carpet there...
just my opinion...

I hear that the cs-27 goes on front, and the cs-22 goes on the rear is what the fast guys are running at stockton...

Which fast guys?I know everyone there and the cs tires are alright.Pits are definately better.I tried Baker trackside setup.Pretty close.Just thought I would ask if anyone has a setup that they feel is absolutely dialed.

Did you get the setup I PM'ed you? Aaron young was running almost the same thing last night. He was running #2 pistons instead of the #3 pistons. He was also using a rear R-2-0 block and added a front F2 block. If I remember correctly from the printouts he ran a few 11.3 laps.

i weighed my tc3 minus motor, esc, batteries, servo and foam bumper and it came in at 1.5 pounds. is that heavy? i have nothing to compare it to. abt how much is good?

on the setup sheet under chassis what chassis does 'carbon fiber' refwer to, the factory team one?

also when i spinmy tires it seems the diff gears are adding lots of drag, is that fixable? i've got the lightweight kit in the back and a new gear up front. the center shaft ones haven't been replaced. is the old gears the problem?

Yes, it means the Factory Team version.

It should not matter what gears are in there(as long they are from the TC3), just the ammount of lube that is in there(the gear boxes). The more lube, the less free the spin, and the longer the gears will last, and they usually are more quiet. The less lube, the more free the spin will be, and the gears will wear out quicker, and they can be louder than with more lube.

Walter doesnt live here anymore,should be running @ Socal with you.I wish I had his email because he was fast here.The carpet track where walter was hard to beat at was not Stockton.It was Hobbyworld Gilroy.the Carpet @ both Places where completely different hence you run a different tire at both places.If you see him,tell him I need his setup.tell him John Hicks was asking.
