bearings
i flushed out the bearings and re lubed them and the spin really well now. i put the car back togethe and have less friction now but i cant get the wheels to spin more than one revolution! i think it might be the diff gears because the bearings spin fine. btw, what material do you dremel out of the diff cases to reduce friction?

That Track was very very tight. As for setup... check with me again after the Halloween Classic - there are a couple more setup changes I want to try. The SBS setup from last year is a good starting point though. |
Hey Mike what's up?
Just wondering where I could find the "SBS" set-up...Thanks! Doug. |
You already have it Doug....."SBS" is an inside joke :)

Billy,
Call me. Please :) Mike_webb must be wanting to go faster. hahahahah Don't let him get to fast he might break his other arm while steering the car at The Track. hahahahah Mark |
Oh....LOL
Thanks Billy, I was thinking it might be the set-up you sent me, which is totally dialed by the way. Doug. |

Mike,
I did. I'm getting the magic touch. Plus version 2.3.2. hahahah  |
I steer the car with my shattered Elbow arm anyways....and now my elbow is Titanium...so there will be no breaking it now :).
I don't know what I was thinking with the X-Ray... even getting hacked to death in the Main on Saturday I turned I turned more laps with the XXX-S and I am better with the TC3 then I am with the XXX-S. I will be ready in 2 weeks... Car should be here tomorrow and I am going to do the Tranny and Chassis this weekend down at my father-in-laws machine shop ;) |
MikeD: Wow, i run an Airtronics 94357 in my TC3, and the standard servo arm BARELY clears the rack at full lock. Do you use the stock servo mounts? What servo do you use? My servo is pressed right up against the webbing that you said you dremeled out for clearance for your servo saver... it was the only way i could get the GT7 with that friggin trash can sized cap on the side and XXL receiver to fit in the electronics bay! The link from the servo to the rack is parallel to the rack (when looking at it from the top of the car), and 90 degrees to the servo arm. It was the only way i could get the steering EPA to balance from left to right. :weird:

HeY!!!
DaveW why didn't you just put the xxl receiver on top of the servo??? |
There should be enough space to put both flat on the chassis...
The GT7, the reciver, and the servo... :weird:  :weird:  :weird: |
