zzcutter,

If you are looking into a Carbon Fiber chassis TC3 look at the Warpspeed Demon. The IRS car is a floppy wet noodle in terms of flex compared to the Warpspeed car. The handling is so much better, and many people say it handles better than a TC3...

Check out the Warpspeed Racing thread here in Electric On-Road. First page is pics of the car.

Ok, I'm dremeling out my friends TC3 and wanted to make sure I'm taking everything I can off. Here's what I have dremeled so far...
Moved battery closer to the center
Dremeled out the motor area to make it more open
lightly sanded down where all of the bearings sit near the differential and around there.

Is there anything else that I'm missing? Thanks a lot

Manfredo,

I still want a chassis from you. Come up with any new methods of shipping to the U.S.??

Manfredo, how did you get to use the NTC3 front body mount system to work on your car? Did you have to make any standoffs or anything? I have been wanting to do this for awhile not but I have not had much luck.

Also, have you checked into using your postal service for shipping overseas? It is a lot cheaper than using companies like UPS, Fed Ex, DHL etc. Just tossing out the idea.

Kraig,
Iīve allready checked the postal system. Itīs a lot cheaper, about 17-20 Euro/Dollar but will take 10 to 14 days of delivery time.
However, I think this is the only way I have found so far.
But so far I donīt know how to handle payment.

@NTC3 bumper mod:
You have to drill three additional holes in the original bumper to mount the part from the NTC3. Additionally you have to lower the monting hole on the gearbox to get it fit. Note that this only works with the newer version of the Trinnity bumper. The older ones and the original bumper are to thick to fit the NTC3 brace.

Currently I am working on a front bumper brace that can be used with all foam bumpers available and without having to lower the mounting hole on the gearbox, made of 3mm carbon fibre. The drawing is finished. I just have to fire up the CNC-mill to do the first parts...

Uh you could become a paypal verified seller and/or put the item on ebay as buy it now and then tell the person who was buying it the link.
Just tossing some ideas around.

i just bought a complete TC3 sealed ceramic kit from ACER Racing. they also sell Polymide sealed bearings. the seals don't rub the inner cages like the Teflon or rubber sealed ones do

i did this after having put 3 1/4 X 3/8 ceramic bearings in my 1/12 car about 3 months ago. they were $7.95 ea. they are still smooth

previous to that, i had to change the 2 axle bearings every month and the one on the diff side every 2 weeks or after one major hit on the right.

Default NTC3 bumber/body mount mod

manfredo
will the NTC3 bumber/body mount work with the trinity foam bumber & RPM lower (plastic) bumber. or do you need to use the stock lower bumper?

also what is that you're using for shock stand offs?

that NTC3 bumper looks killer!

It gives you different shock angles and gives you the ability to get a bit more aggressive on the front - it was really first implemented when the solid front was just becoming a big thing - because of the Reedy Race a couple of years ago that was the first to disallow front oneways. The solid front took a LOT of steering away (entering and mid corner) and putting the rear tower on the front gave some angles that allowed us to regain much of that lost steering.
