If you don't have a ride height gauge, what is a good way to set ride height? Mine seems too low, but I wanted to check it and see for sure before I change it.
|
If you have a ruler try to find something that is close to 5mm thick and use that as a guage.
|
Um...
Only for curiosity, what kind of aftermarket parts you're using in your car? I basically use an FT TC3 with some IRS parts and of course, the awesome plastic diffs. |
I run the aluminum front steering hubs and rear hinge pin blocks, not sure what the official name is for them. I might get the rear hub carriers but probably not.

Is there any way to decrease the toe-in in the rear to almost 0, or even just 1deg? I know you can go from the stock 3deg to 2deg via the optional hinge pin mounts (which I've done), but I've always liked to run only about 1deg rear toe-in. High speed stability is never an issue with me.

Fireball,
Yes, you can decrease rear toe to 0 deg. You can install the front arm mounts (f-0 or f-2) in place of the rear arm mount and you will have 0 deg rear toe. OR, you can buy 3rd party arm mounts from GPM: www.hobbyetc.com. |
Glad I found this place. I had no idea that rctouring went down.
thank god for Trinity. Does anyone have the web address for WSA Take Off Tires? thanks.... |
linger....as in ling????
|
I just wanted to say HI! and THANKS for a new forum to replace the RCTouring site...
I race TC3's on the local HobbyTown parking lot (Stock class) and I have an old TC3 that I converted into a Rally version for the local club's offroad track. I love the TC3! Still the best Sedan on the market from what I've seen... |
Tphalen - yes, linger as in ling!
Tphalen as in Tony??? |
hahhha, what's up Ling???
Funny who you see here!!! |
TC3 suspension
Want to know what a stiffer set up will do on a carpet track. Currently run 60wt oil all around, purple springs in front; copper in rear. Heard that we might get more corner speed, less body roll by going stiffer. I'm concerned about how this might affect steering and rear end traction. Any tips? Thanks.

wolfe... take off tires are distributed by shumacher www.racing-cars.com
However, I couldn't find the tires anywhere on their site. Speedtechrc probably has a better description of the take-off tires. Tphalen - were you using a 1-way at the Hitec race? |
Ya, I ran the one-way. Probably could have made the car a little better but, unfortunately, only had 1/2 a battery of practice before they closed the track....
Guess we should have gone up there the night before!!!! Oh well... That's ok...did fine anyway....except for my brain fart on the last lap!!! DOH!!! |
