Ok, use the black grease that comes in the kit.

The Red Grease (sorry, don't know the part number, but the label writing is red) is used to lube the bearings IN the one way. Use this grease only for this purpose....

And the Losi Grease is used only for lubing the gears externally. It's not completely necessary (as Corse-R mentioned) but it does help keep the gears super quiet...

I think the red label grease is thicker than normal diff grease and used for the AE pan car diffs.

Okay Tony, I have 2 shims in the front and back now and the whole car is quiet. Thanks again for the warning about with no shims. I won't run it that way.

Also who designed the screws that mount on top of the swaybars? They are a little small and the bars pop out when the suspension compresses. I just cut some small round pieces out of a sheet of stiff lexan and stuck them under the screws to give them more area to grab on too. I guess this is alright to do??

As long as it doesn't bind the sway bar. Remove the links on the end of the sway bar and the bar should flop up and down without any resistance.

That happens to my rear sway bar, it pops out, but i just used c-clips, but some people suggest o-rings, but i find that the c-clips fits in neatly, and i can't see how o-rings can fit in as the bulkheads would be in the way!

Hey guys any tips for keeping the foam bumper where it should be, when crashes happen the bumper pops up, i think that ae should make a bumper brace for the tc3 like they did with the mr4-tc, xxx-s, and the tc3 nitro.

Yokomo Fan > just use the round plastic disks that come when you purchase the body posts, then drill a small hole in the post and put a body clip through it. This will keep the bumper down.

And TP can answer this, will the new TC3 Nitro bumber holder fit on the Electric TC3?

I use HPI Pro2 front body post on my TC3. it has lots of holes! and same price as the TC3 body post... :D

Good advice over-gear. I do the same, and I also use those cool adjustable HPI caps too. If you cut the post to the exact right size, you can adjust the caps to work on all the good bodies; stratus, vectra opel, accord, etc. It reallt makes the body posts look clean by not having them stick up higher than one hole.

The new front bumper holder will only work if you replace the TOP of the front gear case, the lower bumper, and I think something else under the front of the car...basically, it's not a simple swap.

The red grease you might be able to find the part number on AE's site.

Re: Sway bars. To hold them in better, use the small washers that you would use to space the rear hubs forward/back. Cut one of the spacers so that it has a flat edge and it will fit on the side of the sway bar that is REALLY close to the gear case (you'll see what I mean when you try to install these).

I like the idea of the o-ring....but you'll probably still have the same problem as you would with the washer.

A REALLY trick method is to use motor shims....:D

I have used the HPI ones in the past as well and they do include more holes in the post. Either way will work. The AE's ones come with the little plastic washer and i dont the HPI's do.

The plastic is real soft and making a hole is very easy.

Part # for the Red Label grease is 6636 I believe. I used to work at a hobby shop and I retain part #'s for years for some reason.
