Rev, I usually carry them to the track. They are hot items so they do go fast though.

The drive shaft is ASC3937. I believe it has a retail price of $7.99.

I don't have one in front of me right now but it is the same one that is coming in the kits now. I highly doubt they are making 2 different kinds.

what surprised me the most was the size of it, it was a LOT smaller then my IRS shaft which would save a ton of rotating mass!

Default TC3 upper deck?

Hey guys, I've had a few requests for a TC3 graphite upper deck to run from the front gear box to the end of the center shaft near the spur. I've done some initial measuring and concept work but would like to know if there would be enough interest for this part from the racers? Let me know what you think, [email protected]

Thanks!
Ben

An upper deck would be cool! But what would we need it for? Cuz we already have room for the electronics. Would it help stiffen up the chassis? Mabey it would help a lot with flat chassis's. But it sure as hell would look cool !!

I believe that the tc3 guys that are cutting down the spine of the car to bring the batts more into the midline of the car are needing the top plate like what Josh used in Cleveland. I think it would be a great product with the amount of racers that are doing that mod.

How much material are you guys taking away on the tranny cases? Should i use a dremel tool at low speed to do it. I scraped some of it off with an x-acto knife but the drivetrain is still not spinning for that long. I have already deshielded one shield on all of the bearings and degrased them. Also, I am using two shims on the input shafts right now, should I reduce it to one shim? What else should i do to get the drivetrain freer? Any help is appreciated.

I used an exacto knife to shave out the plastic on the cases. I cut out quite a bit though. You just want ot get it so it doesnt pinch the bearings. You should be able to just set the bearing into the slot without having to push it in and t should fall out if you turn the case over. Do this on top and bottom. Doing that and getting propper shimming frees up the drive train a ton.

Why not just take out the thin diff spacers that go behind the bearings? Why shave it out?
