Hey!

Haha…got the bug again…dusted off my old TC3 about a couple months ago and then realized my NiCd 2000's, brushed motors and AM transmitter wasn't cutting it. Sold everything and started over. Have an SC10, TC5R and have a TC6 on order. Formula 1 class is getting some buzz out here and am thinking about getting into this as well. This is where I got my initial start in racing!

Hope your doing well and talk soon,
AJ

I will probably get the IP 4200mah 40c stick type lipo. Suppose this will be the same dimensions as your 4000mah IP!
it may be the same. but the 4200 may be a tad longer or fatter. be prepared just in case.

im looking into the possibility of getting a pair of IP 5000mah lipo packs. i just need to test fit a pack to see if its worth buying

Does anyone have the link for the specialty rc f1 shop in Japan?

I think it's actually called direct drive. I just can't find it now.

[QUOTE=MantisWorx;8120517]Got my 104 painted and installed my new chassis! i am still waiting on the stickers, i went ahead and got the expensive Patto's place stickers (60.00!!) but they are the best sticker kits out there and are complete. all you have to do is paint your base color and the stickers take care of the rest. all of the other R30 kits forced you to have to paint the stripes and didnt have all of the sponsers. The chassis/suspension is the best of all types, the chassis is made of composite carbon which is 30% stiffer than weaved carbon and it is thinner! i used a pivot ball setup from a 12l and used the link design from the f109 and then i machined a shock mount that utilizes the tried and trued tri-shock design using kyosho mini-z shocks for the sides! the car is planted and handles much better than the stock setup especially over bumps. shake down runs at the track will be tomorrow.

Question you're talking about a new chassis. What kind of chassis are you using for your car? I'm wondering what kind it is.

Thanx

i own mantisworx.com, i machined the chassis and suspension setup myself as i do with alot of cars. i track tested it today and the car is FIERCE!! very planted on foams and am going to try rubbers tomorrow as the track is brand new and in a matter of 10minutes i completely wore out a pair of front hard foams!!! i am also using Kyosho mini-z shocks for the side shocks and they are 15.00 a pc so im not going to release the kit until i find a decent pair of cheaper shocks, and more testing is done but so far it is impressive. you will hear Thunderbunny complaining about how bad i am dominating the F1 class and how i should be banned soon

Not that I am aware of - these are the default pack for mini racing , so there are a large number of them in use.
