Hi, I'm new to racing and I was wondering if someone could give me a little advice. I am running an Xray T2 with a transmission ratio of 1.7, with a 108 spur. Racing in a 17.5 class on carpet track with rubber tires. Have a Speed Passion LPF 2.0 ESC. Any ideas on what size pinion gear I need and what settings I should run in the ESC (timing, punch, etc.). I have not adjusted the timimg in the motor. The motor is a Vector X12 from LRP. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Does anybody know when the software updates for the esc will be back up on the SP website, I bought the LCD programmer Thursday and have not been able to use it yet
. Hopefully I can get something before I race again this thursday night.

I know a speed passion thread, but anyways, the motor was very difficult at first. But it's going to be a very good motor...
In the main I finally got my fast lap to .1 slower then I had turn in a previous weeks at the track.
but the biggest difference is the fact I have few more teeth I can go up on the motor. It recommends 210* degrees in the manual. At the end of the 6 minute A-main the motor was 138. Fast lap was a 8.4 (small track)
I was running a Duo2 with timing at 8 and the punch was maxxed out , and after the race it was temping at 187*. I found out you can not run the GT2.0 at max timing (26.75? I think)with the stock spec motor. I am running at the 22* (number 7) and the DRRS is maxxed out and right now. I'm at 4.43 on a 68x36 track.
LRP recommends 4.0 they are pretty much right on...
I'm also running a fan on the motor as well... hopefully that will help

Anyone using the Speed Passion V3 motors, feeling under powered compared to other similar turn motors?
A am running 11.5T SP V3 with SP 2.0 esc. All settings at max and gearing down to 4.4 FDR. But still slow compared to ORCA & Team Powers 11.5T motors.
Tried adjusting motor timing to max.....did not feel any increase in rpm or power??
Anyone have any feedback or advise to squeeze more juice out of the V3 motor?
Only thing great about the motor is the wiring plugs and damn the motor runs way cool.
