Is anyone still using the Reventon Pro 1.1 in 4wd mod buggy?
If so, any funny stuff with it, cogging, stutter on power?
Or is it purely for TC where the RC will have minimal knocks...

Chances are that it's a sensor issue either the cable, sensor board in the motor or sensor port on the ESC. It's possible there is a solder joint coming loose at either end.

I don't own one. I'm asking if that model is suspect to these issues?

Hi:
My speedpassion reventon 1.1 will not connect to the SP Reventon PC interface. When I connect to the esc, I get a steady yellow light on the ESC and the LCD box lights up and says "Speed Passion Reventon." There is nothing else. All the connections are good, I tried different wires and got the same response. Then I unistalled the USB driver and the SP Reventon PC Interface twice and the connection stays dead.

If anybody has any ideals about what to do next, please let me know.

In the mains I hit that throttle at the start and it moved about an inch, stopped, I let off the throttle then on again and it went. Is this a motor problem or a ESC problem? It was very aggravating. I also asked this question in the Fantom thread too just to try to find some answers.
Like a few have said. First I would recalibrate the TX to the ESC. Then double check the sensor wire and sensor board of the motor. If you disconnect the sensor wire does it still stutter?

I have been using Reventon's in the Serpent SRX4 w/ a 13.5 and other mod motors.

I talked to Fantom and they said it might be a bad sensor board or stator so its on its way back. When I get it back I'll re calibrate. Thanks for the help guys!!

Did you make sure the the wire matches "-" "+" on both ESC and programmer box? Also I believe there were two plugs on the programmer box, you want to use the middle one.
Hope I am saying make sense.

The wires are correct, the software connects to my other speedpassion esc's immediately.

Anybody else seen the solid yellow light when they connect? What does the yellow light mean?

what is the difference between the EX version and standard pro 1.1

Is it the EX doesn't get the program card? Has anyone used the 1.1 and decided to go back to a previous ESC or new ESC all together (due to lack of performance) as I've heard from a user that had 2 switches go bad on him and weak performance (used it on dusty off road)?

Pro 1.1 EX is the one cell version. Exactly the same as the pro 1.1

Well, here we go again. Using a Reventon Pro 1.1 with Fantom 17.5 I not only get the cogging at low speed but it nearly stops the car at certain points off throttle. Sensor cable, motor and re calibration changes did not work. I love this ESC but its getting frustrating. Would re-downlading the software/firmware onto the ESC help?
