I would have thought the answer was very simple ... the new ESC just doesnt cut it against the competition

I guess they thought they could do better than HW as an OEM. Bad move

Marc R switched to Muchmore ESC and motors since he has been sponsored by Muchmore for quite a long time. As for the ESC compare these pics of the SP Reventon Pro and the Muchmore Fleta 4. Other than markings on the ESC, the only thing I see different is that you can mount a bigger fan on the MM ESC.

LOL, this thread is tagged with poor customer service, and lack of help. That is a good hint to stay away from these products I guess. But, I did notice a change in the Cirtix (sp?). They use to be very dependable, and ever since some sort of design or manufacturing change, they do not last long at all. I threw away 2 Cirtix ESC's, one brand new, the other with a couple runs on it, both no good and sent in, then sent back "repaired" but still did not work. I just have wrote off the cost of them plus shipping as a loss and a learned lesson. I asked Speed passion to make it right, they never did. It is a shame that an affordable product that could help so many get into this hobby be such a let down.

I wasn't going to post but people deserve to know what others are dealing with...

I got my new replacement ESC today. What's nice is that my RMA (from the beginning of Jan.) was originally on a Reventon S that was faulty. I assume due to my frustration over poor communication they sent me a Reventon R. What's NOT nice is that I was told in PM that I was being upgraded to a Reventon Pro. So although I can appreciate the upgrade, it's still another example of how SP is dropping the ball on customer service. Sorry SP guys, but the truth is the truth.

i had an issue last year with a brand new in box sp mmm motor i bought from an online hobby store...when i got it the sensor board was slightly damaged and one of the screw holes to the endbell was completely stripped (screw would go right through the hole) and there was also damage around the inside of the endbell where the stripped hole was, like the screw had been forced, .....after a couple of weeks of sending emails, i just ended up buying a new motor....

i owned a muchmore fleta 3.0 which was a rebranded sp gt 2.0......and yes looks like the fan is bigger on the mm which is what sp should have done in the first place as it looked odd with a 25mm fan

anyone want to chime the main difference between the cirtix club spec and reventon club spec besides being newer? I see a 250 amp burst rate on the reventon versus 90 amp burst but the continous rate is 40amp vs 45amp. I'm racing in 17.5 would it make a big difference?

I have a new 17.5R MMM motor on the way and I was wondering what would be a good FDR to start off with? I'm using an Ultra Sportaman V2 17.5 with an FDR of 3.88 for touring 17.5 blinky class and I was quite a bit slower compared to everyone else. I just recently learned that not all 17.5 motors are the same so can I leave my FDR as it is or do I need to change it once I get the new motor?

you guys got anything better to do than bad mouth other products ? do you even know the facts ? Ben, you applaud in another thread some one TQ a big meet in Vic, and today he won the event. you may applaud the car, but statements from greg are untrue. Ryan was running the reventon Pro for this event, so i guess it just cant cut it hey ! Congratulations to serpent and Speed passion for the Win today, and most important, Ryan Maker for making it happen.

i have been running reventon from the start and was running the hobby wing 2.1 and v3 before and i havent had any speed problems going just as fast as the other and i race with some of the fasted ppl down a straight 52-54mph down a straight (13.5t boosted)

the only problem was the softwear, getting it working on a pc, which was soon fixed and while that was a problem i just used the wifi unit does anything the pc did all off the iphone (yes firmwear updates/changes also)

and if Marc R is using the muchmore copy it cant be bad

these page are made for help/setup not slagging matches and because you get 5-6 ppl put something down just means they r on the forum, unlike the 100's of ppl running one like me with out problems but not on the forum, doesnt make it a bad esc you only get a small % of ppls view on here
