question for you SP gurus out there.. first off I am an idiot!.. I made the mistake of mixing my A and C motor wires up on my Reventon R, it no longer works properly..If I spin the motor shaft and slowly get on the throttle I can get it to go but if I just hammer the throttle---nothing!
I tried a different motor to eliminate that and same thing.
Any ideas? am I sol, or do you think I may have cooked the sensor board in the esc?? something smelt burnt
thanks for any help

Problem I'm having is that the red LED on the ESC keeps blinking, but nothing is happening with the motor. In one part of the instructions, it says the problem could be low battery voltage. Yet in another part, it says the red LED will blink continuously in normal use for this model only.
1. Batteries are fully charged.
2. Changed out sensor wire.
3. Removed sensor wire.
4. Calibrated the ESC.
5. Recalibrated the ESC.
6. Changed out sensor board on motor.
7. Changed out batteries & type of batteries (NICD & NIMH).
So, what else should I do/check? The wires on the motor are correct. A to A, B to B, & C to C. Sensor wire is hooked up, as the Novak requires it. I know the motor automatically senses whether you're running a sensored or sensorless motor.
Is it because I need to be running a 2S LIPO? Is the stator shot?
Is their a certain MaH required to power the ESC using different battery types? I'm currently using anywhere from 1500MaH-3300MaH.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!
You need to borrow a 2S from someone then go into programming mode and shut off the LIPO voltage limiter. Otherwise it won't work with a 1S.

I'm not running a LIPO at all. I've been using 6-cell NICD & NIMH, which the instructions says it supports.
I believe the Cirtix Club will NOT support 1S LIPOs.

Hi SP experts.

I have just bought a Reventon Pro ESC with a SP MMM 4.5t motor.

I'm running it in my Schumacher TC with a 4000Mah Lipo.

My problem is that after about 1-2min of running around the track it suddenly cuts the throttle to almost zero. Its like the lipo voltage cut off coming on.
I have the cut off set at 3.0v so it can't be that.
If I turn it on and off again it resets itself but after about 1min driving it does it again.

Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaase Help!

sounds like your battery can't keep up with the demands being placed on it?

Have you tried turning off the cutoff voltage and see if it runs still? If so, I would say you may want to get better batteries.

I think its acctually the over heat protection coming on. Why would it be overheating? It has the fan on the ESC and everything?

Give both options a look, but I still wouldn't be surprised you are tripping your LVC based on your batteries not being able to pull the load being placed on them.

What rating are your packs?

But, give both options a look though.

You are correct. The voltage cut-off engages.

It doesn't mean that battery's voltage is 6v, it means that when you apply the throttle, battery is drained and momentarily it's at 6v. You are using 4.5 with a 4000mah not very good combination, especially if its not new and with low C rate.

Try set no voltage cut off, BUT make sure you are not play more than 5.30 or you will destroy your battery

Even if you have high C rate battery you might feel a decrease in power. That is because the esc thinks you have low voltage and goes to safe mode

oh well contacted australian rep last week got the how it is bah blah blah lucky the facts areso flexible, i am even moer dissapointed as tonight i have finally put it in the car turn it on and we have cogging ,rough speedy, and blinking amber and red lights not happy.i know its in blinky but there is another fault.
a new one he has to remove from box so he can send buggered one back all of a sudden turns in to a possibly repaired stock item ,which in this country i think you need to provide a repaired stock report to consumer. well its going in post tomorrow and i certainly hope he finaly just sends the new one. i do like speed passion gear and the speedy was great till it died.but the way this has been handled is hopefully a rare occurrance. hopeing this dosent go any further.

Is there plans for a stock software for the reventon pro that includes the boost features plus the reverse option?

I noticed reduced throttle feel with the new firmware the other night, more specifically a very dull midrange, I actually went looking for the old firmware, but can't find a copy anywhere.

I run a D3.5 21.5 with a SP Certix Club Race ESC in USGT. I attended a race at another track that doesn't run GT, so I swapped the 21.5 out to a Revtek 17.5 and run TC. Midway thru the 2nd heat the motor smoked and I think it took the ESC with it. I replaced it with a Thunder Power 17.5 and it wouldn't do anything but bind the drivetrain up when I pulled the trigger.

Did I cook the ESC too? I've been looking for a new one and I can't find one. I got it from AMain, but now they don't even list the Certix. Anyone know where I can get a new one?
