hi all.
What FDR do people recommend for:

- 10.5 Boosted TouringCar 7.4V
- Using V3.0 10.5R motor with the sensorhall of the MMM, in midle
- Asphalt Track, Rubber Tires
- long track, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r53aE...6nzwRU&index=8

ESC Reventon R with setup in the box for 10.5
I was thinking starting at 7.25FDR (t3'12) and working from there?
Tks guys.

I think that is OK...but my guess is you can go as high as 6.75....but again, check speed, motor temperature after 1-2 minutes of running.

For 17.5 blinky, is the reventon pro ok to use? I plan to just use for blinky. Or would the R version be an option ?

Yesterday i was praticed and the Reventon Pro was going faster than ever.

But after 4 minutes, I touch a spin bound and Flip the car

The ESC shut down ... When I try to restart it, orange led on, red led blinking and a beep sound

After 2 min, everything was normal

After my run when i stop the car, the esc shut down everytime ...

I have no lipo cut off and no thermal protection

Stock0
V20

Internal temp : Max 30c

I have the same problem with my 2 novak ballistic (one was brand new)

Any body have an idea ?

Default Reventon Pro package 5.5 motor

I have just purchest my Reventon Pro ESC which comes with a V3.0 5.5 motor.

I installed it all into my cat SX3, I turned everything on and and went through setting up the throttle range/calibration. when I turned the ESC back on I had steering but no Throttle? after scratching my head I thought maybe If i update the LCD software V2.6 and then try updating the ESC to MOD1 then it might work, (batteries not connected) Its started to update but then came up Failed.

Now my computer does not connect to my ESC (windows 7) and my LCD box does not work with the LCD?

I am running a Hobbywing 120A in my cougar SV2 which I have no problems with at all.

Please could somebody tell me what I am doing wrong?

need some motor tuning advice.

Got to drive my 1/12 and touring car in the 17.5 blinky class. I set the motors up with green timing boards, 1 cell motor in the 1/12 and standard v3.0 competition in the touring car. The track is small with an "E" shape essentially.

The common motors used are Reedy Sonics and D3.5s . From what I was told, it was common with these motors and the few novaks to run very low timing for torque, and gearing tall.

using the suggestions I received here, I ran into temp issues with the motors and was down on power in comparison. My question is this, will the speed passion motors respond similar to the compeition with the low timing / tall gearing settings that others are using?

I always used low timing and low roll out with my 1 cell 17.5 and it worked great on a track that was a mix between tight sections and fast. I was using the stock board at max timing and a roll out of between 85 and 89. I lost a little bit of distance on the fastest part of the track but had already gained more than double that in accelerating onto the straight. The most important thing to know is how your car/driving style/motor work together to get the best lap time. Another racer was using the same motor with the +30 board and 100+ rollout and going similar speeds. The only thing different at the end of the day was my motor never got over 100 degress and his saw close to 200.

thanks for the advice. what were you running for a rotor?

For the 1/12 motor I was using the 20 degree green board retarded back to its lowest setting and that seemed not bad.

May have to pick up some red boards ... don't have a black one for the 1 cell at this time since that was what was bad on it previously lol.

I found a place that had one of the super 7 12.5mm rotors, ordered it and will drop that into my touring car. Any suggestions on timing board I should use on the conditions I mentioned? should I still use the black board or try going up on timing with this thicker rotor? (green boards only available)

By the way, anyone have any of the black and / or red timing boards they are wanting to sell let me know. These need to be compatible with a 8.5T - 21.5T motor. Looking for at least 1 black board and 2 red timing boards.

Hi guys I used my Reventon Pro ESC and MMM V3 13.5 motor today on a large nitro track and it was super great. I must say this esc is the smoothest esc i have owned. I out run a few tekin rs pro esc and a few nitro cars that was on the track with me, But I got into a small crash and the esc stop and then the red light started flashing, after I turned it off and back on it was good to go, Esc and motor temp was good. Is this normal.............. ANYWAYS BEST ESC EVER... Next race day I will be out hunting tekin rs pro esc lol. I use to own a tekin esc with I thought was good but the Reventon Pro ESC is times better.......
