Thanks,
I would hope to never have to get it serviced but you never know what might happen. Also, is there anything special that I would need to purchase that doesnt come with the ESC that is needed to use the USB port on the GT2 for programing?

I was wondering what extra tuning options the USB link gives you over the standard handheld card with the GT2.0

Default GT 2 PRO QUESTION

I have a question for the guys from speed pasion. Im from the UK and close to buying one of these esc i found a download on the speed pasion webite for the gt2 saying :

New software version number "090312a" This is software had improve the bottom end power and top speed, special for stock class.

Does this software come already installed on the gt2 pro, if not what will I need in order to install it. I will only be running 13.5 or 10.5 so I guess this software is a must have ???

Also I have a speed pasion 13.5 motor can you tell me what timing is already on this motor and what would be a good starting point to set the gt2 pro i.e timing, brakes etc etc. I will be running an xray t2 009 on rubber tyred on a large open tarmac track. I very close to buying one of these esc so need you guys to give me the final push lol
thanks

In order to utilize the USB software updates your going to need the LCD programing box but the ESC does come with the standard program box

Nothing more than new ESC software as it gets released, you can also change all the standard ESC settings on the PC with it as well

Actually no, the ESC's come with a newer more refined software than that, softer, more aggressive and smoother

I m using Gt ver2.0 with 3.5T feigao motor rated at, my problems are:

1) my dean connector always get hot to the point of melting the solder. I m using 2 cells lipo 5000mAH 30C 12 gauge wires.

2) I can only get barely 5 mins of racing before it cut off, i temp the motor with my infrared gun and it only read 68-75 deg C. My FDR is 9.8 (instruction says 9 to 11 fdr). Running indoor carpet med-large track. My esc timing is 15deg DDRS is 3.ESC Overheat protection and motor overheat protection is ON.

Can anyone give me a fast reply coz i have another 2 heats left tomorrow before the finals. BTW I do have another motor which is 4.5T....will using this solve my problems? I havent run the 4.5T yet but my 3.5t is keeping up with those LRP X12 4.0t motors. Can anybody also suggest me an ideal FDR for both my 3.5 and 4.5 on med to large track?

The 2.0 does not have a motor temp cut-off, so I would definitely check the esc temps next time out. You may need to use the fan on the esc to keep it cool enough to make a 5:30 run. Sorry I can't help you with the roll out, but if you're as fast as you need to be and your temps are 170* F or lower I would get the esc heat down and be happy. As for the deans, if it is on the motor I recommend hard-wireing your motor in. If its on the battery, again, get those esc temps down

I had similar issues but with the 1.1 GT , I ended up running around a 10.25FDR in a large outdoor track with no problems, also try dropping your timing to #2 ( i think its 3.75 degrees)

Its the connector between batt and esc. I already mounted a fan over the esc. Any suggestion on how to lower the esc temp?
