What is the best oil or lube for these bearings? I've seen the lube by Scorpion for their BL motors and can pick up a bottle if that's good enough. What are you using?
I used whatever bearing oil that I have in my pit box...don't even know the name of it.

Thanks...but there is a V1.0.4 up there, we will remove 1.0.3 very soon. And I know V1.0.5 is coming.

Yeah, those are the oem grease from the bearing...no problem to let them go and grease with your own bearing oil....

New to touring cars. What SP ESC would you recommend when I will be in both Blinky 17.5 class and Boosted 17.5 class? Also Who has them in stock, looks like the SP website shows 90% out of stock on everything for US.

Thanks,
Rob

Check again at SP direct sale site...SP GT2 PRO is the one that you will need. Also, need the LCD programming card so you can change software between blinky and boost.

Has anyone else had issues with Speed Passion customer support in the US?

I purchased a Program box for the Cirtix Club Race from TQ hobbies around Christmas. Unfortunatly, the program box did not contain the decal for the Club Race ESC, but it had 4 other versions. I contacted customer support on the 30th of December to inquire about getting the correct decal shipped. Albert Mui answered my email fairly fast and we exchanged some additional information. Albert stated that a decal would be sent to me.

On Jan. 30th, still no decal, I contacted Albert again. He seamed surprised that I hadn't recieved it and said he would mail another decal. It's now Feb. 10 and I still don't have anything! I'm beginning to think that the decal was never mailed, or I'm living in an area that takes 2 months to get things from Speed Passion.

I know that a missing decal isn't a world changer, but it's the principal of it. If you tell your customers you are going to do something, do it and don't BS them. Is this the way SP's customer service operates, or is this situation an exception?

I would start with a 5.0 FDR and full advance if using a stock timing board. For 17.5 blinky, I found using the optional 30-40 timing board set to 35 degrees works well. I would probably start there with 13.5 as well if you can use the option sensor boards.

I only got standard out of the box motor so I'm without optional sensor board. I'll try timing at max setting with it then.
