This is the price we sp drivers have to pay for having bullet connectors on the end bell.
I've got one 17.5 v3 that I modified at a local race (xray challenge) just so I could try to compete "blinky" in 12th scale, it involved removing 1 male bullet completely and running it's wire out a vent hole directly to the speed control. Yes, it now has over 30* of adjustment. We happened to have a off-duty ROAR tech with us that day, his eyes bugged out n his jaw dropped n I went and had fun! Oh the joys of tryin to race on a budget.

Dremel Skills Required!:sneaky:

Whats a good fdr for tc on a med indoor carpet track for 17.5 blinky using v3 with kit 10 deg timing.

Drillit 12-30-2011 03:51 AM

3.2 to 4.0 'ish', you know the story, small, med, large, grip etc......

this is why we need the Tuning Sensors, to get us up to blinky 30* gearing like some of the others.

Just ckecked last weeks club race notes, was runnin 3.48, came off at 175*f after 6mins with fans on speedo and motor. tc4 team tub, sp 2.0, sp 17.5v3 w/ 10*sensor. carpet, med grip ozite. oh yeh, battery, ready for this? original gold brick Track Power 4900 29c, almost keeps up with the latest revtech stuff....almost:cry:

I'm in the market for a new, small blinky/zero timing ESC. Will the price of the Reventon S be comparable with the Cirtix Stock Club Race, the GT 2.0 LPF or go somewhere in between? (I've had them both before I got my hands on a Tekin RS, which both had reverse and a small footprint...)
After a couple of months without RC equipment, I'm contemplating to get a HW Justock, but I really like the look of the Reventon series. Waiting till the Reventons are available in Germany will be hard, but I bet it will be worth it!

Thanks solara....i'm using 7.5fdr n the temp after 5 minute is about 165f...is it ok?....if not i'm thinking to rise up fdr....8.0...ok?

Yes. Just load the 508 Blinky SW and you'll be ready to go.

bluef250 12-30-2011 08:40 AM

ill have to buy the box for that right?

Right!

I'm racing 17.5 no timing. So 1c at a 3.9 F D R and a MMM at a 4.2 F D R. This is for rubber tire tc carpet. Using the 20+ set at 30. Both motors run same lap times. The 1c motor seems to have little more bottom end. The MMM motor runs about 10 degrees cooler.
There is a handful of racers at our track looking to SP now.

I don't want to release price before our dealer have theirs figured, but the S model is right above the price of the club spec and below the R version, lets say between $75-95 range.

you have 15 more degrees to go.....you are RACING, so gear up...(in other word, if you are happy of what you have now, it is fine...motor temp magic number is about 180-190 range)

Steve....I am still working with ROAR about some bling bling, you WAIT until to have those in your hand. Keep watching about the team email that I will send out next year. :sneaky:
