So of the speed passion ESCs that are legal for Blinky mode, which of these can work off of just 1S without the voltage booster other than the GT2.0?

Have recently purchased the GT 2.0 pro speedy and I am using it ATM for stock spec 13.5 racing, my question is this, are racers using the 230 stock SP firmware or are the new Hobbywing versions better/ worse?

Hi

The latest software is best , and asking if a HW or SP software in the speed passion thread will only get you one answer

Upgrade your speedo and it will open your eyes haha

Just asking the question as running the same settings and motor as a mate with a Hobbywing speedy, he was around 5-10 degs cooler after every run

The GT2.0 can't. Only the 2.1 EX can.

Can I run my Speed Passion GT2.0 LPF on a 1S 3.7v Lipo for my 12th scale car?

The manual suggests 4.8v 4 Cell NIMH as a minimum.

Any ideas?

Hey Guys,

Its time for a new 17.5 to run boosted in my TC...

I did a quick search on this thread and found that the 1cell is a little better then the normal v3.... How does it compare to the MMM in the boosted classes? I like the weight of the 1cell... are they more fragile? ie will they smoke Where I run we often get motors 70-80 degrees C (Large outdoor track plus its summer... Track temps up around 60deg C)

Its important that my next motor can handle the abuse... I'm yet to smoke a motor
