Default MMM Advice?

Hi I have run the MMM 17.5 and 13.5 with my GM 75 tonight for the 1st time

I couldn't seem to get them both below 90c!

17.5 set at about 15 Deg on the can and geared at 4.7-5 and a mild speedo setting

13.5 set and 11 Deg on can and geared at 5.4 again with a mild profile

Anyone got any gearing suggestions and speedo settings for the GM?

Many Thanks

Has anyone played around with the "boost" setting in their MOD firmware? What did you find? It seems to me like it is disabled as there is no start RPM setting. If I am wrong what does it do then?

I have the Orion ESC with their software which is.more or.less the same. I choose stock software.because I could set the dynamic range of the.boost timing. From what I can see on the menu's you can't do this.with the mod.software. Am I correct or does the boost timing actually do something in the mod software.

Default speed pasion gt2 pro for 13.5 stock compared to a tekin rs ??

Hi Guys,
i have a GT2 pro which ive not run other than in my wet car, I currently have a Tekin which is fast but im starting to think that its bang and the dirt is gone power delivery isnt helping my driving or lap times. I would like to know a few things like what is the current stock firmware for the speedpassion and can I load it onto my GT2 pro. Also what do people who have run a Tekin and a speedpasion think of the 2 back to back pros and cons ?? Thanks for any advice

On the speed passion/hobbywing 119_MOD the boost and turbo were exactly half of what you could set on the stock software. The start rpm and timing acc were grayed out. Yes the boost and turbo does do something.

I've been using an RSpro/10.5-4.5T Redlines in my Touring cars for a coupple of years until june when bought a GT2pro 10.5/5.5T V3's and now starting to get used to it.
My local tracks are very hot during spring/summer seasons and i've had several thermal issues with the Tekin Esc. The RSpro and 4.5TRedline/GM's 5.5T motors were a good playing combo's but not something to race with, not safe with high temp's, Esc were thermaling to often.
Another thing i've noticed were that Redline motors were a PITA to set up with different Esc's then Tekin's ( tried with a GM Genius120 V2). The best thing about the Gt2 compared to the RSpro is the grunt it takes out of the motors ( whatever brand) and the consistency of the throttle response, something i apreciate particularly is how smooth is the Esc compared to the Rspro. The Rspro instead is very small, fast to tune up with it's two buttons set up but it's more nervous and not so reliable with many motors ( try use an Octawind and you'll see what i mean) , it lacks a card or something like it to tune it once at the Pit's, bringing a Pc is usefull but doesn't match the comfort of a card.
I still use Tekin ESC's for 1/8 Buggy and a Carisma Pro, nothing beat them in the class, wouldn't changed them for anything else.
For 1/10 Touring class i prefer only the Gm'sGenius to The GT2pro but i rather use it in a Pro10, it suits a whoole lot better than the S.P. counterpart (EVX)

Default Speed Passion - Competition V3.0 1 Cell Motor - 10.5R

Hi,

this year we will have rule that will allow use of 1S LiPo with 10.5T motors (until now only 2S with 17.5T).

Does SP Competition V3.0 1 Cell motor have some advantage over others? Why it is named 1 Cell Motor?

1S stator is different design...I used 1S motor on my 2S car. I feel it is more power then V3 on 2S TC racing...just a little.

Thank you!

I was thinking that 1S rotor is a bit smaller and lighter. So it will spool up quicker and reach a slightly higher rpm than a standard rotor with 3.7V battery... Or I am wrong?
