hello
can some point in the rite direction for a gear ratio with a 17.5 i am running at 4.5 at the momant and during testing it doesnt seem to be very good.i copied a programme form the speed passion site but i dont notice any boost at all. the motor timing is standard at the momentas it came out of the box.
i am alittle confused at the moment trying to catch up on technolagy not raced TC for 4 plus years
thanks

If you are using non-boost software then your ratio is about right.

as per the setup sheet I have the D3 on 2 notches,
I will drop it back one and try your setup,
Thanks,

Thanks,

First how much timing are you using in your D3?
With 1 notch off center I would make these changes.....Try taking #4 and go to level 9....take #9 and go to 45deg.....take #10 to 6deg/0.1s....take #12 to 15deg....take #14 to 0s. This should increase the bottom end along with top end.....and gear at 6.7 to 6.5 to start and check temps. Hope this helps some.

have been testing this exact setup on large asphalt track, (Moorebank Sydney, 17.5 duo 3, TOP Photon) but I still get hosed down the main straight (1-2 meters)
I have tried gearing up from 6.7 to 6.5, but this did not improve times.
down low it is lacking a bit as well,
(perhaps I am overgeared?)
over 6mins motor is coming off max 137deg F.

If so, how long is the straight?
The D3 setup on the SP site is developed for a much smaller (120ft straight), very tight track style. I dont see those setting working well on a bigger flowing track.
I am hoping to get to our local big track (225+ft straight) soon to develop ESC / Motor setups. As a guess, here would be my big track starting point based on the 528 SW setup I ran last year:
Motor Timing: D3, 1 tick advance
FDR: 5.5 to 6.0 (again BIG track)
DDRS: Level 8
Boost timing: 36
Turbo Slope Rate: 6
Turbo Timing: 18
Boost Start RPM: 5000
Turbo Delay: 0.3s
Boost Timing Acceleration: 500
NOTE: I have not tried the above, so PLEASE check motor temps every few laps to ensure the settings are not way off.

Is this the track?: http://www.moorebankraceway.com/

Yes, the HW LCD programme box works fine with the SP ESC. You can use it to flash the latest SP firmware without trouble.

if you get stuck , i will be there tommorow. i only run SP software and program box, and motor / speedy. i have the latest SP software to load up for you.

This is what I found to work well for a track with a 235 foot straight.
Trinity D3 10.5 (1 advance of timing)
Prostock 2.1 528stock
DRRS-7
DTMS Timing-5 (15*)
Supercharger Boost- Stage 8
Supercharger RPM Delay- 4 (4000)
Supercharger Full Throttle Delay- 4 (0.3s)
Supercharger Punch-7 (-6)
Motor Temps came off at 145* with heatsink and fan
Without fan and heatsink temps were 155-162 95* outside

Hi guys, I have this annoying blinking green led on my v2.0 everytime after a run. The esc is not thermalling and the motor is also not overheating.
I am suspecting that the led is related to a sensor issue. However according to the manual for the problem to be sensorboard / harness related both the red and green leds must be blinking.
Can someone confirm this? I am using a V3 5 turn motor with my v2.0 esc and I do not currently have another motor to swap out and try.
If I turn the system off and back on again the light goes off.
