Is there any new Mod TC setups from Marc Rheinard?? By the sounds of it most mod racers were running timing or turbo at the ETS race this past weekend on that HUGE track. In the past I've only see non-boosted settings from him posted online....
Maybe mod racers are starting to boost it up?
Maybe mod racers are starting to boost it up?
But on the REEDY race that he won, he was using the 205 straight mod software with 4.0 motor...Marc was always more comfortable running the straight 205 mod software instead of the stock boost software with mod motor...he said the window of the boost setup is so small that he can either finish the race with good result or a blow up motor like at 4 minutes mark.
I will upload his REEDY 205 setup after I receive his final drive and motor timing information from him....

Hey all!
I recently purchased a GT 2.0 pro ESC and a 4.0 turn motor for my 417 sedan. I am running a KO 409 RX.
I upgraded the software and running a very tame modified setting.
I am running on a track about 190' x 80' with a gearing around 7:1.
The problem I am having is everything works fine for about 2-3 minutes and then all of a sudden I lose steering. If I switch the esc off and on it seems to work fine for a little while longer and fail with same results.
Originally I thought it was something with the servo however I changed that and same problem. I changed my end points to 100% guarantee I am not putting stress on the servo/rx too.
It seems to be related to ESC.
I checked temperature and everything seems just about right. My motor is running about 165degrees and my esc is about 135degrees. I am using a Fan on both.
If anyone has any ideas then please let me know.

Zoof you mentioned in the other thread that the system was over heating? Could that be because of the gearing? You said you are running 7:1. That is massive. For a boosted 4.0T setup you would normally run 9-10:1

1. Onroad, Offroad, etc??
2. Track size?
3. Boosted ESC or Spec mode?
4. If boosted, then your esc settings would be helpful to try to correlate to SP ESC settings.

It could be geared too high but that is what I am asking. I am not running any boost. The speed feels about right. I seem to top out about 10-15' from the end of the straight.
I will change the gear for sure.

Well I dunno if it is overheating. The temperatures are posted here. It just runs hotter then my Tekin.

What is your setting..?
Timing on motor..?
For 4.0T, I don't see you can go anything higher then 8.0 final...on smaller track, 8.5....even it is for boosted software. 7.1 is way too high.
