Looking to run the 17.5 Speed Passion V3 motor with the 3 banana plug connection... with the Tekin RS. How much can you adjust the timing on the motor? Like.. From 0 to +10? How does this motor standup to the Trinitys in a 12th scale you think?

Hello Speed Passion people!

I currently use a tekin, very ******* quick the point where i won my clubs A final with a 13.5 against all 10.5's. Anyway, a new importer has taken control of tekin and word has it that tekin prices will be going up by quite a bit and it takes 20+ days to get it imported when purchased from shops in the USA so, i'm looking to change to a Speed Passion GT2.1 with a V3.0 13.5 and/or a V3 10.5. Can i please have your honest thoughts and opinions regarding the esc and motor.

Many thanks

Speedpassion 2,x for what I've seen is second to none. With the new firmwares it is really fast with awesome temperatures.
If you choose a 2,1 for sure you'll be happy, i had some doubts too before to buy it and now i'm happy to have it.

Hello,

Ran my SP today with 528 software and a SP 17.5t motor, car was going great. I also used the recommended software settings and 4.96 fdr. What gear ratio would I need to go to for the SP 13.5t and would I need to change anything in the software ?

Thanks.

I wonder how the GT2.1 stacks up against the Tekin RS....? Seems like Tekin has the boost controls and such...

I am running both and I can tell you that the Speed Passion is faster in overall lap times. The SP rips out of the corners and has a really great feeling throughout the infield. I reeled in a Tekin on a 100' straight like nobody's business.

I run the SP and the Tekin back to back and the Tekin generates different power then the SP. Both can be fast, but in my hands the SP is faster and my motor comes off about 20-30 deg cooler on every run.

Let me know if you have any questions and I can post my setup if anyone wants to try it.

SP software is 528 Stock and Tekin software is V203
