Our track is a asphalt, outdoor, with a +-45 meter straight, fairly flowing & technical , we setup a practice day with the amb timing system for accurate results,

Day 1 - I started out at the recomended 7.0 FDR and we run foam tires here in SA so the roll out was about the 26 mm with 60 mm tires, which I initailly thought to be way too low, but gave it a few runs to get used to the new feel of the car and setting up the delays etc for the straight and wow !!! very happy with what the car is capable of ! I tried going up in gearing about 6.0 FDR and the car was slower, flat on the infield and boosted too late on the straight, so i dropped to lower gearing 7.8 FDR and re-tested and the car was better infield but lacked the ooopmh the car had in its first run ... Skittee (who runs a Photon and Tekin ) were pushing each others times down all day we both smashed the tracks lap records by almost 3 tenths so we were both very happy with the days testing.

Day 2 - I setup the car back to the 7 FDR (which for our track was spot on)and 59mm tires and started experimenting with the punch and total boost settings, and found that I had to almost max the punch and Boost levels to get really good rip corner to corner, i even tried the 230 firmware (but ran too hot for my liking and no faster than 231) so i re-loaded the 231 and ended up with the following:

12) value 9 (Max)
13) value 2
14) value 5
15) value 2

after 5 min run my motor temped @ 68 celcius which is awesome (cooler than 110) and on day 2 I knocked another tenth off the lap record

so in summary SP have definatly found the speed to keep up and run quicker than the tekins and am eagerly awaiting the new revision which Adam/Shawn say's improves the mid range punch ! but very happy with the progress so far guys tx so much !!!

just hoping we can get a beta copy of the new stuff so that we here is SA can test and use at the upcomming nationals mid april ! (hint hint )

there was a guy with a speedpassion 3.0 13,5T and he uses the 107 stock and was faster than me.
so i tried the 107 stock with the X12 and it was much better out of corner, but with a FDR of 7,8 . but the LRP speedo driver are faster the first 10 meters on the straight, so i need more punch (supercharger) to have the same speed.
I think with X12 we need a low FDR ,because the higher FDR only makes more temp and no good good punch out of the corner.
Noted thanks
Seems the X12 motors are running plenty of timing like the Novak motors.

SlideMasteR, what AMTS and DRRS values were you running with that setup?

I don't think anyone has done any testing with the setup in 1/12 . I may have a chance to run 1/12 sunday, 1S lipo using a TQ Booster. If I have the time I may see about swapping out the tekin I picked up and put the Speed Passion back in. But I would love to get some preliminary info on what to start with, this would be in 1/12 stock using a Speed Passion V3.0 17.5 motor. Rollouts the tekin guys are seeing that work good at 100mm.

So Shawn or someone in the know, please give me some info to start with, and I'll try the Speed Passion at the next race if I can go and get the chance.

Hi everyone

I want to share my finding today.

Outdoor big track with 70m straight, I am running rubber spec Xray T3, 10.5T with 230 FW has following setting:

DRRS-7
AMTS-6
12-8
13-5
14-2
15-5
FDR-6.9
motor temp is 90C

The turbo start at the 2/3 straight that is too late and too hot, so I change to FDR7.3 and much better. Finially I run FDR-7.6 the turbo start at the first 1/3 of straight.

The other problem is the corner speed, not as fast as running 107 but overall is faster. Any suggestion for me to improve the corner exit? Thank you!

Youll probably find that your AMTS is too high. try dropping it to 3 or even lower. Your supercharger setting no.12 may be too high too. Its hard to know for sure on any of these settings as there are so many variations of motors etc that you just have to test for yourself and see what happens.

I was testing and got it down to 26_118 with a 1.7 internal t2009. Felt like I needed a little more punch and the boost didn't come on hard enough. I tried all sorts of pinions but that felt over all best. I'm wondering if I change to 1.9 internal if it will be better?

Anybody run their speedos with an Airtronics M8? If so I have a question.
I just got my Prostock 2.1 yest. and have a question on setup. The instructions say to setup the the epa to 100% up & down. My M8 values go to 140% max forward and 160% brake. I ran it this way on my LRP Sphere where their inst. say max for both. I don't have my buggy (Cougar) yet, so I cannot test.
Should I set both forward and brake at only 100% or the max values like I had on my LRP?
I've set it at 100% forward and brake and seems fine with a test motor in hand.

I use an M11. The way I understand it, set to 100% for calibration. After calibration adjust up or down.

I have the GT2 LPF in a 2w buggy w/13.5. I run 140% on throttle, 86% on the brakes.
