Cirtix ESC

Cirtix ESc

+ Good Case
truth it so look like kinetic, but it's okay
with Bolt on top of it maintainable
and heat sink can be improved.
Perhaps its possible to upgrade its hardware ( lower price )

?- if it's LPF type no Thanks

- unable to firmware Update no Thanks!

if this controller is Pro Type (800),
stock software (its okay)
Updatability software USB
Upgradeable its hardware for (lower cost)
could be lethal.

Irgo, the ESC isn't designed to go out and win the worlds, it's designed for things like spec racing.

My brushless motor has timing set to 30 degrees as standard. I believe this is the same as for the SP motors. As I understand it, pretty much as soon as the motor starts spinning the GT2.0 goes into sensorless mode and is governed by the AMTS timing. Is the motor timing now 30 degrees + the AMTS value or is it just the AMTS value on its own? (for example with AMTS set to (7)=22.5 is the total timing 30+22.5=55.5 degrees or is it just 22.5 degrees).

In the manual it says "Timing for both sensored and sensorless motors" so I'm guessing the physical timing of the motor is overruled. If this is the case should I put the physical timing on the motor to the minimum setting of 20 degree to get the most initial torque?

Also for a brushless motor is changing the timing advance just changing the position of the sensors in relation to the windings, or is there more to it than that?

Thanks

Ben

Scratch that, I just found a rather good answer from Adam when I searched for it properly.

Thanks anyway

Ben

What were you actually looking for? I didn't see a q question in your post?

I think he wanted to know if timing is set on the motor and then you set timing on the esc then is total timing esc timing + motor timing or does the esc timing supersede the motor timing when in sensorless mode?

^^^Sounds right

I do wonder if the problem is that the people at speed passion haven't been let in on the secrets of DDRS by hobbywing :p

here is a little excerpt from Version_control.ini , one of the software files

[CAR_ESC HW427_V1.0]
batch =1

versionnum1 =26
version1_1 =V1.00_080926a_U
version1_2 =V1.00_081014a_U
version1_3 =V1.00_081017a_U
version1_4 =V1.00_081025a_U
version1_5 =V1.00_081105a_U
version1_6 =V1.00_081206a_U

HW=HobbyWing

Now to dig a bit further through the files...

The HW software is completely different then the SP software. Trust me on this. If you upload the HW software to your LCD box, you will not be able to utlilize the Sp software and will have to have SP reset it for you. I would probably just get rid of the HW stuff and stick to the Sp stuff to be safe.

I just had to replace Charlies box due to the HW s/w and not being able to backpeddle it, I also shot out one of mine last week in testing that same theory.
