I feel your pain. Bought a laptop the other day and a $599 start price was $660+ dollars just in taxes and CA battery disposal fee they charge here.

But on subject, only place I know outside of CA is rcmushroom in HK. It's $389 w/free express shipping.

It's 9.8% in the Seattle area (King County). Totally sucks!

I hear ya on the "revised" CA sales taxes, grrrr.

One thing to keep in mind about buying the kit overseas is, I don't think you will get the USA spec kit with the extra suspension parts they are tossing in. That's something the US based supplier is offering.

Their offer pretty much negates the sales tax.

I will support my US based suppliers when I can. If I can't get it here then I'll order it overseas.

The USA spec kit is ONLY available in the U.S. Almost $40 worth of spare parts for FREE.

I can't believe that this kit is not available from any other US states. I googled and nada. I support my local hobby shop by buying parts and $20 racing fee every week. I just refuse to give Komifornia another penny after they just raped me on my 2010 tax filings... Vote all those incumbents out...

Can you PM me Timezone's contact info? I'm just waiting for my fed tax return. Hopefully it's not sold by the time I receive it. Thanks.

update:
Nevermind, I found it www.timezoneracing.com.
