Well, don´t feel bad , the "Normal" Yokomo drivers in Germany would be happy if they could buy Spare and Tuning Parts in a German Shop. Support is more than poor

Just installed mine, ill let you know how it goes after the weekend, they feel VERY average out of the packet Did a bit of rebuilding and got it nice and smooth now, ill see if it holds out with a 4.5t

the geardiff feels very different.

At the worlds some of us used gear, some of us used ball diff.

In andernach both ronald and me found the balldiff to be much better to drive as it is a lot more precise than the gear diff, especially onpower.
with the gear diff the car tends to "float" a lot more and get loose through very quick direction changes.

advantage: more forward bite when the wheels are straight
disadvantage: a lot harder to drive and mroe prone to making mistakes as the car gets more unpredictable

For those interested I tested the photon gear diff with a 4.5t motor yesterday. The car felt pretty good, and had more steering. I have been using the Spec R gear diff in my Xray for the past few months, and i dont think the photon gear diff is quite as good. I overheated the std 20k oil, making the oil gluggy and it went black. I switched to 3k oil and it was better, but this was a bit to light, 5k will be a good starting point. This is on med traction asphalt.

The gear diff is ok, but i would definatly wait for a Spec R of Yokomo gear diff They will be bulletproof and way more consistant.
