Tekin RS/RS PRO on 1s Lipo Q&A

Tekin 1s booster option
With the possibility of a new version of the awesome RS coming out I'd like to throw out an idea.
Instead of having an ESC with a built in booster for 1s racing, adding size and cost. (Ex. LRP & Hobbywing) How about having a compact plug in booster designed for a new speed control, a new speed control designed for a plug in booster. You'd plug the booster module into the front or side of the ESC with a four pin connector, two for battery power and two to add the boosted voltage into the BEC circuit. Similar to the TQ, Hobbyking or Stormer boosters.
That way you can please the 1s crowd without having to ofter a dedicated ESC.

Hi, I'm new to 1s applications and have a question about this booster board. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...to_5v_1A_.html
Do I plug the RS into the board and then the board into the receiver?

Then the booster gets plugged into the Rx battery port.
You can add a switch inline to one of the wires from the ESC to the booster so you can turn everything on/off. Otherwise, as soon as you plug in your battery, the system turns on.

Not really. What some people do is cut the socket plug off a servo extension, solder the + and - of the servo extension to the + and - battery posts of the ESC. Then the plug end of the servo extension you would normally plug into the Rx, gets plugged into the pins on the booster. Alternately, you can solder two wires from the + and - battery posts on the ESC directly to the + and - pins on the booster. But, this prevents easy swaps if the booster dies.
Then the booster gets plugged into the Rx battery port.

Sorry for the post I am sure this has been answered a 1000 times but I dont want to mess anything up! Could you guys please confirm I have this correct. I just downloaded the most current esc download...with both settings on 1S
I just bought the newer novak booster. I will solder its power wires to the esc. then plug the booster into my batt rx port.
I will leave my esc switch turned off full time. I will use the novak booster switch to power my car.
Is this correct??????????????????????????????
