Found the info here http://www.thard.co.uk/tips/
The TA05 pulley mod works well, the MRE and MSXX come with this as standard fitment, and it will work on a MS too.
For the front and rear pulleys, either follow the advice on the site, or buy the MRE front spool (which requires no modifications to fit the pulleys).
TAM3454395 MRE Front spool
TAM9804267 Drive cup sleves
TAM9804268 Delrin Drive cups

For the centre pulley, just use the parts that come standard with the MRE, as I feel this is a better option. Parts required
TAM345395 Direct Centre Shaft
TAM51213 16T plastic pulley
TAM50589 5mm E-ring
and thats it... all other parts required should be on your 415 anyway.

Having looked at that link again, man, I need too update that page!

HiH

Would that be a suitable gear ratio on a med-size track?

Any suggestions will help.

Thanks.
it is the sintered rotor, right? i think you should be quite a bit lower with that... in WI, we were running like ~4.7 fdr on an indoor carpet track, not sure of the size, maybe 50x90?

i would probably start around a 5.5, and see how the temps go and adjust from there.

hope that helps...

I'm debuting my MRE this weekend on a asphalt track, 100' straight with rubber tires, very flowy layout. What would be a good starting point for a pinion gear with 102T spur for stock (monster) and 19T Chamleon motors.

Many thanks for any input!

WOW!!............. What a great day of racing at Jackson Raceway in NJ. The traction was real good and the MSX was simply dialed. Thanks Craig for the input on gearing. It was Big Fun in the pits.

Hope to go back real soon. That place is just simply awesome!! .................. And BTW, these cars are only going to get better.

See you soon Bro!

Hoy Buboy, musta na. The answer to your question is that it requires item# 53451 TA04 Front One-Way Joint Set (according to Tamiya USA).

If you have the part already, then might as well try it out before you buy the other one.
