Belts
Anyone have problems with the belts stripping? I did 3 rear and one front today in 7 races Even with new pulleys it still took the teeth off them. I was not the only one atleast another 5 or 6 people stripped atleast one or more. I was running a 9x1 Checkpoint at Carlisle buit I've had them go at other tracks, maybe the belt are not upto the power were using now

Alan,
I kept breaking belts in stock, spec and mod - that's probably the main reason I went to the Cyclone.
Are you using the new pulleys on the MRE?

really don't know how/why people struggle with belts (and this isn't a flame against anyone who has)... Ive been running a 415 for over 2years now, mostly with the white belts, and in the whole time I've done one rear belt...

Wow, this is the first I've heard of people having problems with the belts on the msx. I've run stock and 19t on carpet with foam tires and my belts look like new...??? ...and I run the TAO5 diff pulleys/center pulleys...

I think this had been said before but if you are chewing up belts in less than 10 runs in stock or 19 turn you need to check the centerpullies, they are proberly worn out. A worn out centerpulley destroys a belt in no time.

Must be running the belts too tight, maybe they are rubbing on the battery bars or something. Running stock and 19t they should last for years. Mod is a different matter and if you got the money to run mod then you can afford lots of belts
Does anyone have any insight on new short arms vs. old 414 arms on carpet? Whats the most consistent?

for asphalt get yourself a spool and put the stock MSX setup it works very well.
Newbie
Hi,I've just bought a new stock Tamiya TRF 415 chassis after coming from a TL-01, so completely new.
Man I’ve got so many questions:
My first Q is what motor pinion should I use, I've got a 13X3T motor?
Second does anyone know if I can still use my Futaba s3003 steering servo, if not what should I get?
My third Q is do they make a battery clip for the TRF 415 cos I don't want to waste my money on tape that'll run out!
Lastly do all 190mm shells fit the TRF 415?
an answer to any of these would be greatly appreciated.
