I am running a TC4 but not sure if I will get enough gear into if for 21.5/LiPo combo. I am on the high side of the FDR right now with no way of getting lower unless someone has a 64p spur smaller than 88t. Maybe won't need but we Will see.

PRS makes 64p spur gears from 72t on up. I had to use a 74 in my TB02 to gear for the 21.5.

Thanks Bro. I should have known PRS made them smaller. I get all of my pinions from them. Thanks again.

I got a Cyclone S and am running 540 and have a 96T spur and 49T pinion.

Also What does a high/low FDR mean?

Kimbrough makes a 48p 69t spur gear that should fit a TC4, it fits my TC3.

You can get up to a 40t 48p pinion from SpeedtechRC

https://www.speedtechrc.com/store/eb...?catmainid=502

That combo will get you to 4.31 FDR. I'm not sure how much lower you want to go.

I will be running the 21.5 in my TC3 and plan to start with a FDR of ~4.54 (69/38) and go from there.

FDR = Final Drive Ratio, the combination of all ratios from pinion/spur to final drive. High/low is referred to numerically 4.5 being higher than 4.3, it's sorta backwards from traditional 1:1 car gearing lingo where a numerically high ratio is considered a low gearing.

So what do I want a high gearing or a low gearing for 540?

Although I have some 48p stuff most of mine is 64p. It is just what I have so might as well just get a spur. If I cant get my hands on the spur I will try the 48p route. thanks for the info.
