Great site, but does anyone know a link or company who sells just the sensor wire plugs. I have a handfull of 200mm and longer sensor wires that I would love to shorten for 12th scale use.
Having explored replacing wires I found most good servo's have the solder points coated and a tight job at that, so I went the other way.
Good ternimal crimper for servo leads and such http://www.hansenhobbies.com/ - get the ratchet version, you'll need it!
I've bought one, realised you wouldn't wan't to crimp with a cheapy and the end product is awesome. Lots of accessories there too. Service was great and watch the video it was most informative.

I'd say they were a pressed plug that you'd need a die for, after doing a standard Servo crmip, anything smaller would be beyond me.

Hello, I remember seeing a pic of your car on another thread. You might want to check the downward angle of your steering links, because I suspect that they give you a massive bumpsteer. Might be wrong, of course, just thought I'd warn you. Nice good old ride BTW !

Yes there is some downword angle there. There is no spacers under the lower arm for the half worn tires that are on it and when new tires are installed it will rase the suspention reducing the angle. I could still put in some specers at the top of the steering block to reduce the angle more but do you think it will make mutch differance with about 1mm of suspention travel?

YES ! The servo position and steering geometry has a very noticeable influence even with such little travel. To check if you need some spacer under the ball which is on the steering knuckle, turn your wheels and check the movement of the outer wheel when you compress the suspension. If it has the effect of "gaining steering", even a little bit, you have some bumpsteer that you should get rid of. The car is much harder to drive with bumpsteer, for obvious reasons
Have fun !
