Pop open the RX case and coil the antenna inside it, I did that when I ran Spektrum and had no issues with interference.

I left about 2-3 inches out of the case and cut my antenna tube down to about 3 inches, looked pretty trick.

You could also heatshrink the antenna while coiling it around a screwdriver.

Thats exactly the thought I had last night whilst looking at the pic. I hard wire the fan to the ESC, but that way I could also introduce a plug into the system again, and keep it hidden, tucked on the chassis plate....

Still, if I did it I would be weary of plugging the esc wire in backward. That wouldn't blow anything would it? Just not respond correctly?

Thanks, actually it wasn't that bad. Just take your time, steady hands, and use your common sense the whole way through. Make sure you pay attention to the way the lead goes.

Little things that helped: when you shorten the TQ wire, dab a little flux on the end, and then a dab of solder. Keeps the tiny wires together.

Use flux, and do one at a time on the board, holding each one down with a small flat head. Also I had a vice to hold the rs itself.

Both my Tekins have the switch shorted at the board and the black wire connectors. I find using desoldering braid to pull old solder off the traces makes it easier to do small wires.

If you make sure your leads are just long enough for connection, you should find that only one of them is long and its actually hard work to wire it in backwards. I did have a Tekin batt which had the terminals reversed. I blew a stock ESC once and then threw the battery out.

The positive is the center wire so it won't blow up, just not respond as you stated.

Dont suppose you have a pic? Did you use solder or a small amount of wire to short the switch? Love the idea for TC, but not for 12th, its too hard to plug in the batt with the body on. But no switch would definately help the look of the 12th

I am not going to do this right now, as finances dont allow for me to replace an esc or servo inthe event i stuff it, but will definitely be doing this in the future.
