Thanks the SMC team had another good race week at the Snowbirds.
Thanks,
Any idea when you will send the first batch out to distributors?

They should be in by the end of March. If were lucky they will arrive a bit earlier.

They sold a handful of 5200 40c packs at a race for a good price but none of the packages had your numbers hand written on them. Maybe they were bootleg since a few of them did come up as only 1 cell 3.7v batts.. You never know =/

I want to thank SMC for the great service. I had one of the bad packs, and I sent it in. Had it back in a short period of time. What made me happy when I opened the box was there was a handwritten note from Bryan saying he had fun racing with me this past weekend at Bumps and Jumps. I have never recieved that kind of personal attention from a company before. It makes me want to buy only SMC packs from now on.

A couple of questions:

1) does the external Deans connector have a performance advantage over the IFRA type plugs?

2) Do 40c batteries have more on track "punch" that the lower c rated batteries? I am running 17.5 and 21.5 on road classes.

3) Which of the SMC packs have the lowest internal resistance?

Thanks

Actually the packs your talking about were sent from the first shipment that showed up on a Thursday and we overnighted the packs straigt to the race. So we didn't have time to put the numbers on the packs or test them.

I have made the decision to stop putting numbers on the packs starting with our newest shipment that is coming in tomorrow.

The cells should be lighter than the 28C/5000 cells but due to the circuit board with inboard connectors should add weight.

The inboard connectors with circuit board should have a bit higher resistance than wires and Deans connector.

The 40C packs have lower IR and better voltage but on the track it doesn't really seem to make a difference as Jeff Cuffs TQed 2 classes at the Snowbirds and won one with our 5200/24C pack.

Hello Danny (SMC)

Just curious when norcal hobby shops will be receiving the 5200 packs?

Also, Just wondering why the new packs won't be coming in a graphite color scheme?

can't wait to buy 3 packs.

Cheerz

Our newest shipment is due in tomorrow and packs will be on there way to distritbutors as they get cycled and packaged.

The color water transfer isn't working well for us as it adds to the cost and it seems to damage a certain amount of the cases. Since we don't have millions of cases to get this process done to it seems like the companies doing this will do our cases only when they finish up there big orders. So this sometimes creates delays so we can't get packs done on time. By going to a regular black case we can have all the cases we need when we need them.
