There is a pretty noticible difference in performance. The Kans have way more punch.

Grrr. just fried my Xray esc. I should send it back, but I need something stronger. I'm leaning toward either the spy or the IPD controller. Any ideas (I'm debating on dropping reverse, not too sure)

About the strongest is a LRP Quantum sport. Don't get reverse if you race, you need brakes more than you need reverse and the ESC will be much more reliable. If you just cruise around the street the Spy is pretty good. The reverse will be more convenient if you get stuck somewhere.

Iam using a GM V3r. Been good so far. The easiest speedo to setup. Turn on, full throttle, full brake...your done...go racing.

Iam using a GM V3r
Saw one in the LHS for $55. much cheaper than that quantum ($99). I just worry about the connectors. Can you replace the connectors on that VR3 (resolder them?) And does it have reverse? Not that I really need it, but with nitro season just around the corner, The chances of me racing it go down considerably.

SPENZALLI::::The GM V3r .....have reverse. They have another V3 without reverse. You can go to their website at :

http://www.gm-racing.de/

You can even download the instruction manual.

Oh yeah ....yes you can easily replace the wires.....as long as you have a steady hand. Use mild soldering iron 10-20 watts...that way you don't fry the board. Don't use the ones that you use for your batteries. Just be careful.
