Awesomatix is creating the Team Awesomatix Asia now:

Awesomatix is proud to officially announce the formation of Team Awesomatix Asia (TAA). TAA would be managed by long time RC veteran Wen, who will start to form a team for each of the Asian countries starting with Michael Lo from Malaysia, Tony Tam from Hong Kong and rapidly moving on to the other Asian countries.

Awesomatix is well known globally to be an engineering work of art, but has lack presence in the Asia Pacific Region since its inception. With the formation of TAA, it will show fellow RC goers how awesome the Awesomatix A700 is.

Hope to see you on a track near you.

Thank you. just needed to choose which mail forwarding depot.

2-4 days will feel alot longer...

I found it Difficult choosing which chassis kit, but the tracks here where I am are smallish, tight sometimes flowing but always bumpy.. I choose A700L.

I was warned that these cars have a small set-up window but hopefully I can get it sorted.

i had my first really decent running with the Awesomatix yesterday at my local track, Jackson RC. the car had a slight entry push which made it hard to get underneath the lead car. i qualified 2nd and finished 2nd (yellow car).

+ YouTube Video

after racing i sat down and started filling out a setup sheet to see where my overall settings where and found my shocks where identically set front and rear -- big mistake. after a 1mm adjustment on the front A my dropped into the 15.2s lap times and was finally getting into the corner how i wanted it to. i have to finish a few measurements, and then i post up my setup sheet.

thanks! throughout the years many folks have put a lot of time and effort into Jackson RC. it is a great facility -- and i'm lucky to call it my home track.

i tried it in practice after racing, but only in 17.5. it was nice and easy to install, and looks like it will be handy if/when you need to change a spur gear in the future. on the track, performance was the same in practice. i think racing conditions will be required to see if it helps under pressure.

additionally -- in 17.5, there isn't a lot of torque. i think it will help a lot in modified. since my stock car is running well now, i'll be investing more effort in modified.

Mike,

What means 1.5 orh for DOWNSTOP settings?

We are using the distance from the board to the outer edge of the arm usually.

Did you tried the double joint EVD on the rear ?

1.5 orh is 1.5mm over ride height. it is a measurement of the uptravel of the car once race ready. you measure from the same location you measure ride height.

i haven't tried the EVD in the rear yet. but i'm thinking about it. in the video you could see i was having trouble in some of the tighter corners initiating the corner. i wish i had a video of my practice runs after. the car was much better. the setup i posted is of the final practice settings.

"t-shape" cutted top deck.
We have already two reports ( one is from Mike H.) concerning car's improving with such top deck.
