Will placing shims under the rear of the FFG dramatically hinder the handling? Finding that with our track in 21.5 I am having to gear around 2.8 FDR and without adding 1mm beneath the rear of the FFG the pinion is hitting the deck.

I guess you mean the rear plate am40? If you raise am40 I'd recommend raising the front bulkhead am41/am43 and also the tower am49 the same amount to keep the rod parallel with the chassis.

Can you fit a smaller spur gear so you can use a smaller pinion? Looking at the manual a 50t spur and 37 pinion should fit and give you a fdr of 2.81

Should I be using the 98deg springs with spr02h on d2.1 dampers? I currently using the standard spring and not noticed any issues.

Personally I'd just bend the spring rather that buying the new ones. I bent a spring in a big accident and just straightened it and it's been fine since

Hi. You will not need bent springs on D2.1 dampers. They are useful on the D2.2 version to prevent play in the suspension.

I've bent springs by hand and this is also a fine method (i.e. I use 110 degree bent springs on the rear). Ride height and droop settings do change with the amount the spring is bent.

Does anyone here have an extra blades or feeler blades for the spring stiffness they would like to sell. I recently purchased an A700L on the for sale thread, but it didnt come with it. Im not sure if that is available for a separate purchase as I dont see one online.

Hope I'm on the right thread. I'm looking into getting an A700 Evoii and trying to find out if there are aluminum arms available for the kit? I have searched and can't seem to find this part for the kit? The track I run on is CRC high bite carpet and all the guys running A800's use the aluminum arms. I know one guy has a A700 that has alloy arms.

Thanks!!! I'm a total newb to the Awesomatix world, I have been in the land of Xray. I'm wondering if Awesomatix is still producing the A700 cars and if not what to expect as far as parts availability? Any info our thoughts would be appreciated.

Most of the parts that break or get damaged (suspension parts) are shared with the A800 so those parts should be readily available. The rest of the parts can be obtained thru the USA site or Oleg's site.

Is the aluminum chassis for the evo ii with all the cutouts going to have to much flex for CRC high grip carpet? If so is there a solid aluminum chassis available for the evo ii?

Thanks
