Anyone know if the online shop on Awesomatix site is working or are parts to be ordered via email.

Torque steer is probably not a issue in Stock classes.
You then want the motor straight with the spur to minimise friction.

Torque steer is almost non-existant with brushless motors due to the lower rotating mass and smaller diameter of the rotor. Unless you're running mod I don't think you'll feel it.

Oleg/Awesomatix team drivers - Do you have any photos/dimensions of the newly released IAS? Additional info on the following items would be greatly appreciated.
A700-AM20 AM20 IAS Steering Rod
A700-AM21 AM21 IAS Steering Plate
A700-AM22 AM22 IAS Steering Arm x 2
I'm interested to know how these compare to the stockers? I assume the team drivers have been testing the new setup. Any feedback?

At the same time combination of AM20 and AM21 delivers a bit less AM20 Steering Rod travel.
IAS set can provide more Ackermann value setting, more linear "steering feeling" near to max. steering angles but several degrees less max steering angle herewith.
Steen Graversen likes to use this steering system although Ivan Laptev prefers standard steering set.
So generally speaking it is a matter of personal preference and features of a particular driver.

Day one was promising. The drive-train is highly efficient - motors ran cooler and now have some opportunity to gearing up.
I need to spend some time looking at the dampening chart. I started with Steens IIC setup (found the car to be really 'tight', generated good grip but didnt pivot well on the 180s) and then decided to go with a 'softer' dampening using Laptev ETS and found the car to perform better on 'tight' carpet tracks such as ours in the US. Fast laps with Steens setup were in the 12.3's and by the end of the night with Laptevs setup I was in the low 11's.
To work on this week:

To work on this week:
- Dampening - need to get a better handle finding similar dampening to normal setups in the 16lbs/40wt/2hole fronts & 14lbs/40wt/3hole rear. I thought Laptevs settings were a good start but needed less spring and more dampening rate.
- Equivalence to running short or long wheelbase - as our tracks in the US are extremely tight and higher bite - the better cars are the ones that can pivot in tight places - I can usually use wheelbase with softer springs to get the car to rotate and pivot .

Laptev settings use longer links right? and different ackermann hole in steering block. Its extremely different from Steen setting. If I make the camber link 1.5mm longer on my Xray its massive. The difference here is like 4mm.
With the long links they are longer than the wishbone, so camber gain is...opposite way of every other TC. Can't imagine what that would be like. Also no stabiliser bars.
Got a feeling I've bitten off more than I can chew. Could easily get lost in the set up, its like a different language. Took me a long, long time to find my basic set up which works for me.
Will start with Steen basic carpet set up on Tuesday, I have no idea what to expect
