I'm putting Larry's latest setup for my next outing at MRH. Can you guys confirm that you are using the stock AT21 pivot balls? I ask because I've changed out to the Xray ball studs and would need to to adjust the shims accordingly. I recognize the use of AT21S for the lower arms.

For the upper arms most of the team guys are running the TOP balls/ball ends which are the same height as the stock AT21. For the Xray ball ends IIRC you will need to add and extra 0.5mm of shims.

I was under the impression that the height difference between the AT21 and the 4.9mm xray ball cups was approx 1.25mm...

0.5mm is the height difference between AT21 & AT21S...

Just got my carbon fiber shaft made be ewippler installed. Here is a video of me doing full throttle/breaks etc to see if the shaft has any flex. Looks like it will work out great. Less overall weight and a stronger shaft lets me take out that center brace for even less drive train friction. BTW - I know some people are testing this in mod without the center brace and have said it has worked fine so far.

I would turn down the volume that close to the drive it's a little noisy.
+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

Here is the thread for the shafts btw http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...g-cars-31.html

Hi all,
Ive noticed a big amount of play between the becel gear and the diff gear. So heres my question: How many shims did you add at the bevel gear?
Thanks

Thanks again to my friend Larry for all of the help.seye is surely missing out on some fantastic handling cars. Hopefully the practice curse doesn't get me. And remember total time doesn't set the sort.

Time to make my 13.5 car like 17.5.

Must be the caster doodles!

I assume you are running the A700L USA spec in 17.5, but what about 13.5 and mod?

USA spec in most classes.

"Someone" must want me to go to bed... My 2mm driver just broke trying to rebuild my 13.5 car.

Good luck to everyone in the morning... Lot of fast A700 drivers in all the TC classes.
