Any advice how to modify some setup that has 3mm and if I use 2.5mm what do I need to change also to make it work?
High grip carpet, same track that is on this setup from Viljami(he uses the A700 car so maybe the P01 is lower on his car then on A700L ? ) :
http://awesomatix.com/download/ -> "New setup from Viljami Kutvonen"
any help is appreciated since I´m new to all this setup stuff.

1. You have possibility to cut off the excessive material on the cap of our "latest edition" P02 after pressing of P01 on to P02.
Please use a sharp hobby knife.
It will give you the desirable 0.5mm for smaller wheels.

2. You have possibility to remove 0.5mm or 0.75mm under outer upper ST03 ball studs and at the same time to remove the same amount of mm under inner upper AT21 pivot balls on this suspension.
It will give you almost (very very close) the same roll center position and camber gain.

Thanks, erchn, you was first with this comment.

3. Please note that Viljami's latest setup uses AM26/AM06S combination on the rear.
AM26 shifts P01/P02 out of wheel.

Thanks erchn and Oleg for your very informative replies!

I will try first cutting small bit off the P02 so the setups are easier to copy.

I gotta say I'm impressed by the support Oleg provides for his cars. It would be great if other designers made themselves this accessible to the public.

Oh, and maybe cause I edited my prior post you missed one question:

Is lubrication needed for the steel gears?

If so, what would you use, something dry like graphite or what?

Yes, the lubrication of steel gears is very desirable.

You can use any dry lubricants or grease designed for metal gears.

Can someone do me a favor and give me some measurements for BC1? Specifically the length of AT26, and the length of P21S?

If the pictures are to scale, then it looks like about 12mm and 8mm, respectively.

Thanks!
Ethan

Hi Ethan,

I still have the ones from my A700. If they are the same as what is currently offered as an option....

AT26 is 16.4mm tall and its diameter is 6mm, ( roughly 7mm on the knurled section )
P21S is 3.2mm tall and 14.47mm in length. Swing from the center of the screw is approximately 10.5mm.

Cheers,

Jake D.

Any chance you could get slightly more exact numbers? ;-)

Thanks, Jake.
