No problem that is what these boards are for but sometimes it's hard to figure things out as things could be thought or read in a different way than it was intended.

Bring your SMC batteries to UG on Sunday. I'll wear my wife beater now because we have double the heat in the pits.

You can`t have it both ways Dave, condeem another company for using C-rating and then use it yourself ?

All I got back was "I miss the point"....

That`s not a answer Dave , its a dodge ......

Just so everyone knows ...

The "point" of this thread is to condemn that other company for doing just the same as SMC has been doing all along ....

O-Lookie !
here come some more insults...
Too funny, you're an absolute-without-a-doubt tool that should never see the light of day without a helmet. Kudos to you.....

Danny, great thread! I've recently moved to Germany and am out of racing for a while until I get established here. When I get back in it will be with LiPo and this thread has helped me understand a great deal more than I thought I could squeeze in, thanks so much for your time and commitment to our recreational time!

All GFXs can be adjusted to discharge down in increments of 1/10th of a volt.

If you use the Lipo GFX in Lipo mode the voltage cutoff is preset at 3v per cell so a 2 cell pack it will cutoff at 6 volt. If yours doesnt do this send it back to CE as thee is an issue with it.

It's much safer to rate a 28, 30, 33 or 35C cells at 25C just to avoid all this nonsense. Everything seems to be over rated now days anyways and that's one reason why I never had my lipo packs made. The other is the liability of many people not knowing how to handle them safely.

Actually when your dealing with Geo (Wild Cherry) you MUST insult him, He likes it. He is not sure what to say if you don't insult him.

Danny,

Thanks for the reply on the PM today.

Looks like Im a little late on this thread, but I have been away on vacation.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Danny and thank him for trying to get the same info out there that I have been trying to let people know about.

I was also told by my manufacturer that at this time to get a lipo larger than a 5000mAh 30C into the dimension of the ROAR spec case is impossible at this time and that technology will not allow it for now. I have also tested some higher C rating packs as a 5200 33C and 5000 35C pack wich both did not have as good of #'s as our 28C packs.

On track performance is your best bet!

Damon
