hey strahler, i bought my 09 last saturday and put together that day.
pay close attention to the instructions. the instructions have foam and rubber
spec. make sure you follow foam spec instructions. that is a very good starting point. put all electronic's on car center servo and do an alignment on car. use supplied pro spec sheet supplied and that should get you going.
al tracks are defferent so you will have to tweak spec's to your track.
if all else fails let one of your star xray guy's drive it and tweak for you. watch them and learn.

I had to have one guy's. i had an 08 and was very happy with it.
i have to say that the gold (orange) really pops. there is aluminum drives for rear and light weight axle's front and rear. extra holes in chassis for upcoming motor placement options. it come's with 1.7 final drive only. (diff and lay shaft gear's) the wheel hex's are black, i wish they where gold(orange).
the only other thing i see different is the lipo top deck option package.
yea all this bling should get me to the a-main now.
really, if you have an 08 and like it. sell it to your buddy and get the 09 if you have a spar $500.00 around.

Fella's could someone tell me if the 007 suspension Parts will fit the 009 Arms,C-hubs ,steering blocks and rear uprights I have looked at the downloadable chart but it states that O is optional and X is standard/fits does that mean if there aint no X then it wont fit? cause the arms and all the above mentioned show the O which is optional....Why couldnt they make it me proof or Idiot so it would say fits or dont fit?....any help would be greatly appreciated as I want to purchase this weekend...

Thanks,

All the parts you listed will fit each car EXCEPT if you use 07 arms on a 08 or 09 the pivot points will be different and if I remember right the 07 had 2 holes to mount the lower shock. where the 08 n 09 has one which would actually be between the 2 holes on a 07 arm.

The arms will mount up but will need to be shimmed for proper track width.
The C hubs, steering blocks and rear uprights are all compatible, the new style c hubs have a larger opening where the driveshaft runs through.

Default 009 the same just different

The 009 chassis places the battey outside and forward slightly. Not sure why they did this other than the obvious pinion clearance issue. I do notice that the 009 gets into the corner a little harder than the 008 with identical setup IMO.

The inner pivot point geometry will be what changes rather than the outer, shim the arms to achieve your same track width as I stated and you're set. However keep the left right arms the same 007/007 or 009/009 not one of each. Just another tuning option to add to the list.

Because there aren't many drivers which prefers oneway in mod now. And this spool is definitely lighter than MD.
