How is spare parts avaiability for this car and how much longer do you things spare parts will be available for it.

I run my 09 against 07, 08 and 11 Xrays as well as some TC6's and 415's in our RC GT class. Besides the lack of driver at times my 09 still runs among the fast ones.

Personally I think the 1.7 gearing helps the car in a blinky class with a 17.5 motor. Setups arent much different between the 09 and the newer T3's

T3 and T2 cars have different geometry so setups do differ quite a bit.

Your choice of hubs really should depend on the type of track you run on. If you're running a very large outdoor track with wide sweeping turns, then the 6deg hub will help. However, I know some XRay pro guys and they say they always stick to 4deg on theirs and make other adjustments to increase or decrease steering.

The one option part I highly suggest you getting is the H1/H2 or the L1/L2 roll center adjusters. One of these items became standard issue on the T3 and it really helps in tuning your cars handling. The other is to get the springs either one stiffer or one softer or both. Stock is 2.8F 2.6R, and I have a 3.0 on the front for mine.

Also, if you don't already have it in the kit, get an extra set of shock pistons. In the piston kit, there is an option for you to build it with adjustable dampening or you can use the extra pistons with different amount of holes to tune your shock the way you like it.

Default T2 009 Lipo Weights

Since upgrading to the Exotek chassis, I no longer need the Xray Lipo weights part#309860.

If anyone is interested, I'm selling them for $25 shipped, domestic frt only.

The only real difference is the drive ratio which is 1.7 vs. 1.9 on the T3. Thats because the 009 uses 34T diff pullies instead of 38T pullies. For me, I don't see the difference. If you want to jump into the gear diff bandwagon you'll have to convert to 38T for your front spool as all the gear diffs for the XRay are only 38T.
Just a heads up Spec R makes a 34T gear diff. I just bought one for my 007.

On my 009 I run the standard chassis and gear diffs front and rear I personally like the 38tooth pulleys better the then 34 .. I am just as competitive with it racing against the 11's and 12's here in Florida . I also ran my 09 last year at birds and qualified 4th finished 3rd .

I thought they might but wasn't sure. Most shops including my local shop only carries the 38T version. Personally I'm not a big fan of the gear diff for electrics. However for others who want it without having to change to 38T, here is the link: http://www.spec-r.com/default/index....roducts_id=214

What servo i should get? im thinking of Savox 1251mg?
servo spec are:-
•Speed (sec/60°): 0.1 @4.8V, 0.09 @6.0V
•Torque (kg-cm): 7.0 @4.8V, 9.0 @6.0V

is there any better servo than 1251mg?

Also, what is the ideal servo horn angle is?
i have it pointing it upward, rather than at angle like manual suggested, coz the linkages are too long...

A friends uses the Savöx. He is satisfied. Also the orange is nice in the Xray ;-)

I personally use a KO Propo 2413. But it cost as twice as much as the Savöx.

Get a shorter linkage and use the angle proposed in the manual.

What to do?
I got a hard case lipo battery, with 4mm female plugs built in, that hole goes under the rear of the top deck,
Has anyone got a work around to it apart from moving it outside? of top deck?

I seen people cutting bit of top deck to let the battery plug fit though, but wont that weaken the chassis etc ?

Xray makes a lipo pad set that will raise the top deck for taller lipo batteries.

Both holes will be accessible if you turn the battery 180 degress.

I just got one of those last weekend. Any hardcase 2s lipo will fit. However that all depends on how your car is configured.

If you're using the XRay lipo weights like the ones I have available for sale, you can mount that battery with no problem. If you don't, and you want to mount it close to the center of the chassis right on top of where the slots are for the sub-c cells, you'll need to get the XRay lipo pads if your car is not already equipped with those. The lipo pads are graphite spacers for your top deck to clear the height of the hardcase lipo.

You need either or but you don't need both.
