how is this possible at this level of competition(I am not disagreeing with your account or observation) Hara is not exactly a newbie or unable to afford the best motors and batties. I could see a tiny power difference but a significant easily noticeable one surprises me and contradicts much i have read in the past about the top cars being really close performance wise.

Marc & Tamiya driver used 4T motor
other driver used 4.5T Orion & X12

Hara uses the shorter ball link on his shocks, therefore he will need to wind down more on the shock collar to have the correct right height. The shorter ball link can be found in one of the plastic tree that come with the TC.

Personally I think Marc's car was simply handling a bit better in the final run and he made a fantastic move to overtake Atsushi. Atsushi almost managed to block him but at this level "almost" is the difference between being the champ or not. It was very very close.
