Josh, Merry Xmas!

Can you explain what the scrub set setting is on the Evolva and how it affects handling? Thanks.

Josh

are you running associated oil in your shocks, seems I read that somewhere before.

also are you running the stock rear tower that comes with the kit if so how are you mounting the rear camber link in the #2 hole being that the mount is on the ball extension

Thanks Rodney

stormperson - I used the extra positions on the rear tower for the rear camber link... Shorter link in the rear gives you quicker reaction from the rear of the car, especially in the middle of the corner (more steering). Shorter link in the front gives you quicker reaction from the front of the car and usually results in more steering in the middle of the corner....

KMW - More scrub in the front will give you more steering as it moves the pillow balls out of the wheel effectivly giving you more of a jacking effect (making the front of the chassis roll more with more steering input). In the rear it's a bit different as you are basically changing the a-arm length which can result in more steering but worse tire wear with more scrub set vs longer arm with more rear bite and better tire wear.....

Rodney - Some people have said the chassis like I like will has too much steering for them (batteries way forward on the left) so if you like a more stable car then use the XRC chassis with the batteries in the standard position or moved up the one slot on the left..... I did use Asc. oil in my shocks and I do use the ball stud extension on the lower hole in the rear tower...

Hi Josh - How would you know which end of the car to shorten the camber link? Is that dependent on the track layout?

Thanks,
-Rich

Rich - Trial and error... Eventually, you know the "feel" you are looking for and then it's just a matter of applying what feels best for you....

Notice Fantom is gone too. I've heard rumors, and if they are true its gonna be pretty sweet.

raving-monkey, trf spain, windsorguy99, David - Not yet... few more days....

spy - I prefer the plastic bodies. They are lighter and the finish inside seems to be smoother.
