Here's my Tamiya F104 v2 at the TCS race in Horsham this winter. New to F1, but raced an old 12th scale Corally SP12 YEARS ago, so it's like falling off a bike. Hahahaha

It looks really nice! That's the F104 stock body, correct?

Yes. The one that you need to bolt the side pods on. It's a tough little body. I'm the only guy at our track brave enough to run the small front wing. HAHAHAHA

I am a big fan of the 3.5L F1 era, but I like the 18 inch wheels

Check the Lotus: http://www.formula1.com/gallery/testing/2014/863.html

Lego has been doing that for years! But it is a nice look. For me, F1 is for pioneering new things like ground effects, variable valve timing, and paddle shifters

Can anyone point me in the direction of a pic of the Exotek independent front end?

Speaking of 18" wheels, is anyone else excited about Formula E? I'm new to electric on-road, so I have some difficulty relating what we do with our electric cars to 1:1 F1 cars.
However, Formula E looks like a bigger version of what we do. If Tamiya comes out with a Formula E bodyset I'd run that.

Thanks, ASC6000. However, I think Mike is coming out with something new. I don't think it's out yet.........but I could be mistaken.

Formula E cars don't look half bad! IMO

Too bad Formula E is going to be a massive failure and the series will be done by 2016, if not earlier.

The local track had decided to start running F1, but it's going to allow foams. Who normally stocks foams for the F104 and what compounds are recommended?
