out of interest, what's the best engine to put in these?

I was thinking a novak pro 4.5 but after seeing the youtube videos i think it might be a bit too overkill.

A 19turn motor should be adequate.

19 seems to be a really nice motor for these, With a 13 mine is pretty frantic and you have to concentrate real hard to keep it headed in the right direction, but 19 is nice, still fast, but not mental

Hey Michel, are you still able to get those Ride slicks and rims?

I would suggest using the 23turn motor that comes with the kit before you ramp up the speed. Concentrate on handling and setting up your car. And if you'er planning on getting upgrades for the car, I suggest starting out with the turnbuckes and shock. The stock turnbuckes have a tendency to come loose every so often, and the shock that it comes with is a joke.

the description for the one i bought said no engine or ESC ?

not here yet so i'm not sure if one will be included.

i think ive decided to keep it all tamiya though now, transpeed ms motor and volac ms ESC

i used to run a 3 speed nitro touring car so i doubt the above will be a problem regarding speed, although i hope it is

i've got a comprehensive list of upgrades at the ready, just waiting to see what is included in the kit then its hop up city before i build it

cant wait!

Mine and my son's came with a 32 turn if I'm deciphering the code correctly. I was surprised that it did as the information said the same thing you're thinking. If your racing a spec class, keep in mind Tamiya parts only. If they're real strict, like TCS rules, you'll race with hand out motors and batteries.
