Vyger, Thanks for the link! The TRG setting hub will work perfectly with my machine. This will be must first order with The border, so hopefully all will go well.

I let my son turn his lose. He's loving it. It is by far the fastest and best handling car he has ever driven. I'm hoping we'll have a class locally here soon. I think we have at least 5 guys with cars, should be 10 by Christmas. We just need to get them all to show at once.

Vyger - You continue to impress!

I like that TRG M92 body set too! I'm going to get an R kit later this month and 2 of those bodies and wings to go with it, one for Racing and one for display. Then I'd like to try some of the TRG rubber tires on the track. I'm hooked!

Thanks but do you know if it will also fit on other f1's besides the F103?

I've never ran a rear diffuser, do they really work? I do like how it looks like it may protect the spur gear.

I don't know if it really does much aerodynamically, but it's more than worth the price for rear impact protection. I tend to spin out and back into the wall :p which used to result in a broken rear wing. I haven't broken a rear wing since I put this on.

Well I know it will fit the TRG chassis, since that's what the picture shows it mounted on. It will probably fit on just about any pan style direct drive chassis with screws connecting the motor pod to the T-plate. You may have to make your own holes, meaning the supplied markings might not work, but that's not hard to do.

Reenmachine is right. I think the real purpose is to act like a rear bumper. It keeps the other cars front wings from getting into your spur. I’ve never noticed any difference in handling running with it or with out it. But I will tell you the life span of the rear wing and spur gear is greatly increased. The byproduct of it is, it looks really cool on the car.

hey guys, im totally new to this motorsport but not to rc cars. i race weekly with a ta05ms and im pretty good at it  :ha:

anyways, im looking into getting into this and i was wondering when the 15th anniversary version is going to come out and is it worth it? i am guessing tamiya is going to release it for around 250 ( correct if im wrong) and ive seen the basic model of the F103 model is around 120-150. after some hop-ups i can see that the price might all around the same. which is more worth it??

and i am a bling-a-holic. lol. after getting the ms, i added more things just to make it more bling. so has anybody tried to build a car just from buying the aftermarket parts?? i know tamiya makes a good amount and 3 racing does too, but 3racing just isnt as good as tamiya parts.

Get the F103R. Not because it's flashy , but because it has a real shock, a motor mount that won't melt, and turnbuckes that won't slip off.

Can anyone tell me what chassis this is? Seller says its an F103 but it looks like an older version.

It looks to me like an F102 the Tyrrell 019 going off the wing.

Looks like an F102...it's not an F103 though.

Alright, thanks guys, thats what I was figuring.

Bikerbob 11-04-2008 10:23 AM

Tamiya distributor in my area says they have sold over 200+ F103s in the last 6months. Most of these I would think are not for Billy to bash in the drive, soooo turnout will be better and better for our points F1 racing - we might hit 40 this Wednesday.

BTW - had to mention because I am so happy with myself, I scored a Spektrum TX for my JR radio - brand new $9.99 off ebay.
